My husband and I are entering our photographs in a Craft Show this Holiday Season and we need some simple, inexpensive, creative, ways to display our pictures. Any ideas, and suggestions welcome. Thanks!

Matted and framed. This is not a place where you want to take any short cuts or "go cheap."

Keep your display up and uncluttered, perhaps on a "wall" or screen. If you intend to seel prints, you can boost your bottom line by purchasing inexpensive frames at a wholesale price, and selling your prints in the frames at a "retail" price.

I have seen some have a stock of prints, wrapped in clear sheets, with a cardboard backing. They'd keep the stock in trays, divided on tables for browsing. There would be one price for unframed prints, and another for framed.

You might be surprised to learn that the larger sized prints sold much better than the smaller ones, since people don't usually purchase 5 x 7 snapshot prints to put up on a wall. They want 8 x 10, 11 x 14 and bigger. Professional's offices, for instance would more likely buy poster sized prints to decorate waiting rooms and offices.

Depends on how many your displaying, and print sizes, and the area you have to use.

If it was me, I would put a good selection up, framed, on a wall. You can make easily transportable display walls using pegboard, attached to 1x2's constructed as a frame/stand, and use "s" hooks as picture hangers.

You can also use bins to sell assorted stock, again, it really depends on sizes being put out.

matted and framed, but it really isn't cheap..... you could go to ultrafine.com and look at their mats and see it if works for you, assuming you don't want to cut mats yourself
