I plan on decorating my apt. soon with dark oak mission furniture, along with accent pieces like lamps, shelves, and picture frames in espresso.... but I don't just wanna limit myself to those colors. I'd like to add a little touch of ivory or bone white to my decor but don't know how to work with them. Do these colors go well with dark oak and espresso? And are there any other colors that I should consider using? I'm trying to give my place a warm cozy look, but I need some ideas.

The ivory/dark oak/espresso color combo will look fantastic. Check out these home makeovers from HGTV:

You could also use hunter green, dusty blue, adobe red, dusty rose, or butternut squash - all are very typical of Arts & Crafts style.

I have furniture like yours, and I've redecorated around it twice. The first time I used ivory/bone, tan and black, and accented with green and cranberry. It was warm, but I got sick and tired of ivory walls. They never looked clean. I just redecorated this summer, and this time, with the same furniture, I used yellow cream walls and yellow cream carpet with maple wood floors, and I kept the cranberry and black as accents. All I can say is every time someone comes over their jaw drops. It's really gorgeous and warm, and now that it's cold and wet, it's always bright and warm in the house with that creamy yellow.

Before you settle on any particular color, go to your local paint store and load up on color samples. Hang them around your place for a few days in all kinds of light to see what you think. Narrow it down and then decide what colors you want to use to accent the place.

I would like to know if you live in study or apartment because your decorate depend to :
your personality, the apartment area, amount and quality to the light, interior or exterior location of your place etc

In my opinion , I think is very important to design your place just for you ..........and the market trends. So.......I suggest dont mix strong colors.
