OKay everyone I am turning 21 very soon and i can not wait to go get plastered at the bars my only problem is that i haven't really drank that much I dont like beer I think it tastes bad, I do like drinks that taste good and dont have a bad after taste, anybody know of the type of drinks that would be best for me???
also, I've done a shot before I think it was called a sweettart... it was in a test tube shot glass.. is that such a shot? or was it possibly called something else?

I don't like beer either, and I drink all KINDS of things...my favorites are Amaretto Sours, Whiskey Sours, Sex on the Beach, Mudslides, Midori Sours, any kind of Martinis are usually good (but they have a lot of alcohol), Rum and Coke, Mai Tais, Zombies, Hurricanes, and Juice Boxes. You could also try Smirnoffs (Twists) or Mike's Hard Lemonade, they're like a 7-up with alcohol, really sweet. As for shots...I like Red Headed Sluts, and Kamikazies (they're really lemony). Yummy!

Beer is something you learn to appreciate.
Don't drink the domestic crap like Coors, Bud, Miller. That isn't beer.
Go with something that you aren't too sure of. Sam Adams is great. It has a quality you can taste.
New Castle, any Hef, like Pyramid and Blue Moon.
Don't give up on beer. You can't have a Mai Tai with the guys or at a party unless you want the same sex to come on to you.
If you really can't do beer then go with Jack and Coke or Capt'n and Coke.

I don't like beer, either. I just had my first real drink other than a sip here or there last night. I tried vodka mixed with Kool Aid and that's pretty good. Just don't go too strong if you haven't drank a lot. You'll wnat to ease yourself into being able to handle alcohol.

It's just so great that the first thing you can think of doing on your 21st birthday is to drown yourself in alcohol! Bravo! Maybe that's the solution to the world's problems: Give all the gangs and world leaders and other jerks free booze until they are totally wasted, and then put the lot of 'em on a deserted island!
But, I digress . . . ;)
Even though (or especially because) you are turning 21, you need to prove that you can act in a mature manner. If you are drinking solely because you "can", then you are no better than the lemmings who blindly jump off cliffs! At the very least, if you have never had alcohol before, take only ONE drink of your choice, and let it go at that for the entire night. Some people don't tolerate alcohol well, and the effects may "sneak" up on you very slowly, to horrendous results (i.e., accidents, arrests, rape, etc).
And, please, don't drink and drive,
and don't get in a car with someone who has imbibed!

If you don't like the taste of the stuff..Why do it. Alcohol shrinks the brain and rots the liver and a dozen other downsides. If you can avoid it by not liking it..Great!
Surely there are better things to do when you turn 21.
I am not anti drinking, and a drink or two for pleasure is fine..but too many people don't know when to stop..and then discover they CAN'T stop.
Your liver is one of the most important organs in your body...stay friends with it..treat it gently.

i might say in case you prefer something gentle and not too good stay faraway from a vodka drink your first time. an surprising glass of wine is usually a superb option, yet you extremely could have a cocktail. i might say attempt a Rum & Coke, Mojito or Tequila break of day/sunset.

try Sapphire and tonic for a mixed drink.

sounds like a wine spritzer kinda guy. go for the foofoo drinks, you know the ones with umbrellas, or flowers in them.
