It says that if you do your wife for the first time and she isn't a virgin you can stone her to death on her father's doorstep. that is GREAT!!!

the Bible says a woman must know her place and the man is the head of the family so however he can become the head will not matter. If she needs a beating then she gets one.

The old testament refers to a man needing to take the stick to his wife when she is argumentative. Jesus straightened this mess out by calling upon us to love one another unconditionally, with no hitting allowed.

Violence in general is talked about as a very serious sin.
However in the Koran (Qu'ran) beating your wife is recommended if you even "suspect" anything untrue (unfaithfulness) of her.
