Read I Corinthians 13th chapter. That is the perfect example of love, how love should be defined, felt, and shared with others. Off the cuff, I would want share respect, trust, honor, dignity, and love, in all its variations.

Reciprocation without expectation for receiving. Giving something (the act of love) and seeing someone happy is an exchange. It is fulfilling and more rewarding than receiving the same attention from someone. The fact remains that the reason you are able to give is that you received the same from someone, somewhere, sometime. It is unconditional, and immutable that is how I define true love. I hope my answer is not confusing, what I am saying that the Lover wants the reciprocation that is given from within to another. Watching that person being happy, giving, and joyous. That is the true reward of the Lover.
I hope I answered your question without too much confusion.
Thank you for your message.

It depends on who the lover is,if he is sincere with his intentions and shows he really wants a relationship, not just a one night stand, than he does care and all he wants is someone to Love and someone with the same sentiments as his.

I reckon if a lover wants anything from it, it isn't love. Whatever we get, apart from the joy of loving, is a bonus.

to fill that which is incomplete and give purpose to the emotions that drive the need to be and to love. The search for that soul mate or life long partner is not futile as each romantic or emotional encounter teaches us about our needs and the needs of others which gives a sense of purpose.

to discover oneself...for you never are truly whole until you fall in love..i am a lover...and i never expected for the person i love to equal what i feel for him. it may be that i love more than he does for me or if he doesnt love me at all.. but i care not for to love is to never ask for anything in return..i only ask from love for me to be able to express what i feel even for a few moments...

Security. He wants to know I'm not cheating on him and he trusts I'm not. I'm not anyway.. He wants to know I'll always love regardless of any mistakes he makes...except like cheating.
He likes to know I'm there. I'm home when he is for the most part. He doesn't spend time with me, he just wants to know I'm in the house with him.
