Yes, many many times anxiety and depression go hand in hand (not always) And anxiety and bipolar could go together also. But I'm a little fuzzy on whether one could be diagnosed as both depressed and bipolar. B/c inherent in depression is being monopole.. one mood, always low. But with bipolar a person would cycle through periods of extreme happiness and then extreme sadness. So, you could have depressed moods in bipolar but I don't think that would be the diagnoses..

Both depression and anxiety symptoms can be part of a diagnosis of Bipolar. It wouldn't be necessary to diagnose all three; a diagnosis of Bipolar would cover it.
However, a doctor might diagnose "Generalized Anxiety Disorder, rule out Major Depression, rule out Bipolar Disorder" meaning the patient might meet the criteria for another disorder but the doctor isn't quite sure.

There are different kinds of depression, unipolar and bipolar. You cannot have both unipolar and bipolar depression, you can have one or the other but not both at one time. You can be diagnosed with anxiety issues at the same time as unipolar or bipolar depression. That is called a dual-diagnosis, when they are diagnosing you with more than one thing.

Nope.
Bi Polar includes parts of both depression and "anxiety issues".
So no, they can't be diagnosed like all together.

depression is part of the bi polar diagnosis, and, yes, you can also have an anxiety disorder along with that. It's not uncommon.

I believe so. I think depression is the down side of bi-lor. Manic is the up. And when you are depressed, you can also be very anxious. You can be sad and depressed because you think you are going to lose your job.
