Check if your parents have head lice shampoo, thats what I use when I wash rescued puppies instead of flea shampoo. It works much better.
Head lice shampoo actually has the same exact stuff in it, except head lice shampoo has more, and flea shampoo has more water. When I used to use flea shampoo, I usually had to use it more than once on the same dog/puppy. When I use head lice shampoo, I only need to use it once and the fleas are gone.

Well, like everyone else said, there's not much you can do with no money and no cars.
But here's a few things you can do until you can get better flea stuff:
Give your dogs a bath. Use whatever dog shampoo you have. Quite a few of the fleas and eggs will drown and rinse away. Brush the dog when he's wet. Depending on the coat type and color, it can be quite easy to see the fleas on the dog when he's wet.
Put the dog beds in the washer. (You may want to air dry them, depending on the type of bed.)
Get salt and dash it all over the carpets. Wait an hour or so and vacuum it up.
Congratulations, you just killed all the fleas and their eggs in the carpet, on the dog bed, and most on the dogs.
I think you'd be fairly flea-free (for the moment) if you did all this. It probably wouldn't fix the flea infestation, so you'd need to do more when you can. But this should be a good start.
Good luck!

Dawn dish soap works really well. If you dont have that put a little pine sol on and suds them up with that then was them again with what ever soap u have available. Vaccume Vauccume Vacume thit will help get them out of the carpet and the furiture. Once you get some money in your pocket go get a cheap flea shampoo or frontline . and dont forget to bug bomb the house Make sure you read the directions on the bomb and the shampoo for best results

If you have any Avon Skin-so-soft lotion, that will work. First, wash the dog, then mix a 1:1 ratio of the lotion and some water. Put it in a spray bottle or bowl and spay/spread it over the dog. The dog will smell like the lotion, but the fleas should be gone.
Another home remedy to try is to boil lemon or orange peels in water. Let the mixture cool down, then put it on your pet.
These work for the immediate - until you can get your pet properly washed with flea shampoo.

If you have peppermint or rosemary growing in the garden, give this a go....
Herbal anti-flea dip for your pet:
2 cups packed fresh Peppermint or Rosemary
1 litre boiling water
4 litres warm water
Prepare an infusion by pouring the boiling water over the herbs and allow it to steep for 30 minutes. Strain the liquid and dilute it with the warm water. Saturate the animal's coat thoroughly with the solution, allowing it to air dry. Use at the first sign of flea activity. This remedy will need to be repeated every three to four days

Not to sound preachy, but if you can’t even afford dog shampoo at $2.99 and let your dog suffer, you have no “F-in” business owning a dog. Always assume if your dog has fleas, your home certainly has flea eggs imbedded in the carpet; you’ll have to buy flea bomb for your home as well. (assuming you don’t live in a card board box) Any dollar store will carry cheep 99¢ dog flea shampoo, at least learn to budget your self, stop eating McDonalds, discontinue your internet services and used the money for your dog first. What if your dog got seriously sick and you had no money to take it to the vet? Be considerate to him or her. They ask nothing from you but love and attention. You have no business owning any pets of your that, brokeass poor.

Give them a bath and soak them up to their necks. If you have a metal comb you can use it on their coats to try to get rid of the fleas.
There is a powder you can sprinkle on your carpets that will suffocate the fleas. Try baking soda?
Keep giving them baths, keep laundering all their bedding. You will have to keep doing this for days or weeks! It is not easy to get rid of fleas without medical substances.
I understand about circumstances where you cannot afford to do this. Check with your local volunteer programs that deal with dogs. Perhaps they can help you with expenses. Good luck.

give the dogs baths with any kind of shampoo, let it sit for a min or two and then rinse. You dont need dish soap, just good old shampoo. While one of you bathes the dogs the other should vacuum the carpet and take the dogs bedding to be washed if you have a washer/dryer at home. If not then take the bedding to the porch.

You can wash the dogs in baby shampoo, but it won't kill the ones in the house or yard. You are going to have to get a defogger and spray for the yard. Or just live with it. Try a rescue, see if thye have any low cost items for you.

Dawn Dish soap works great, or even vasiline, when we lived by a bird farm we would get the chicken fleas that stick and the vasiline was the only thing that killed them.
