There is a question about this right now and I want to clear it up. People who never heard of Jesus nor the Bible are not automatically damned. Read in Romans and you will see it is not the hearers of the law who are justified but the doers. God says when gentiles who have not heard the law do the by nature the things included in the law are a law unto themselves. Those who have not heard of Jesus or the Bible will be judged upon following the law that God wrote into man's very DNA. Do you understand? Do you agree?

Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Rom 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Rom 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Dr. Kemp - actually I am a scientist. Technically I suppose you would call me a molecular evolutionist as that is the type of research I do and the type of lab I work in. However all my knowledge and studies of biology have just reinforced my belief in God.

catrionn - for most of the world today there is no excuse not to know about Jesus. I was thinking more in the distant past. Native Americans and such before the message came to America.

Yes, dear brother, I do understand and agree!
I thank God that everyone in this time era WILL hear about Jesus. We have missionaries all over the world that we didn't have in other eras. We also have TV that reaches the lost in areas where missionaries can't reach.
Everyone has a God-shaped vacuum in their heart and they cannot find true peace until they find God.
Blessings at ya!

You are looking at the right passage. Those without knowledge have a knowledge themselves. They have their own set of laws that they live by. This is not to say that they will be saved though. We all sin, Romans 3:23, and because of that if we sin against God or our own laws, we have to pay the price of sin. The price of sin is death, Romans 6:23. That is why we need Jesus. Jesus can take away our sins, Romans 6:1-17. That is why Jesus said that I'm the way, the Truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except though Jesus, John 14:6.

Where do they live? On Saturn?
After 2000 years of advertising and promotion (not to mention conversion by force) in every part of the earth, I find it hard to believe that there are any people who have never heard of Jesus.
Maybe newborn babies whose families aren't Christian and there's no TV, radio, computer, or printed matter where the baby is being born. But once those babies get older, it's only a matter of time before somebody decides they have to hear about Jesus.

Hello Edge,
Yup... the ones who have never heard of Jesus i guess could be divided in 2 sub-groups:
-Have had the chance to get to know Him
-Haven´t had the chance to get to know Him
But the gospel is to be preached "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations," So everyone in that generation will be acquainted of the gospel from the grace of God.
And in generations before that one i guess there are the 2 sub-groups, but after all both of them will be judged according to the light received... ☼
There´s a quotation about it on a christian book i´d like to share:
"Christ is the door to the fold of God. Through this door all His children, from the earliest times, have found entrance. In Jesus, as shown in types, as shadowed in symbols, as manifested in the revelation of the prophets, as unveiled in the lessons given to His disciples, and in the miracles wrought for the sons of men, they have beheld "the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29), and through Him they are brought within the fold of His grace. Many have come presenting other objects for the faith of the world; ceremonies and systems have been devised by which men hope to receive justification and peace with God, and thus find entrance to His fold.
Greetings
Grace be with you

Yes, more or less--I think what you are saying is that God will judge us in accordance with the amount of knowledge He has given us (and the amount of opportunity we have had to hear & accept the gospel plan of salvation)
The first part of Romans talks about every man knowing that there is a God in His heart--as you said it is wired or built into us by our Creator. So in this regard we are without excuse. We have the responsibility to worship God in accordance with the amount of knowledge/revelation He has given us.
The people of the Old Testament could only worship God in accordance with the Law as it was given to them and look forward to the promise of the Messiah (and I'm sure they had varying degrees of understanding/revelation about what this actually meant.)
It all comes back to faith and obedience--are we trusting in God and obedient to the truth that He has given us. Truly much will be required of us in this day and age because we have the Bible and we certainly have ample opportunity to hear the Word and to do it. We will also be held accountable for not sharing the gospel with those who haven't heard it if we have rejected or neglected this opportunity.
God is infinitely holy, infinitely just, infinitely loving, and infinitely merciful. None of us deserves salvation--whatever He does and however He judges always has been and always will be more than fair. That's grace! Thank goodness it's not up to us to figure it out or judge others--we are only called to live according to the truth we have heard.

I agree, it says in the Bible that God wrote himself into every mans heart (man meaning mankind) and that we all know him, what happens alot is that we don't want him to be in charge, or we don't want to submit, or we hear others telling us it's stupid to believe, and often we then become strong advocates for the other side. The truth is that we do know God, and he made us know him. We choose not to. Therefore any person who dies, not having someone tell them about Jesus, is not innocent of not being told, because they were told by the man himself. It does often help alot to talk to people and reinforce their beliefs and help them understand (not brainwash them, show them and let them decide) and it often makes them stronger in their faith, but no person can MAKE another person believe... get what I'm getting at?
I am in agreement, besides, he made us, why wouldn't he put himself, and knowledge of himself, into us.
God exists whether you like it or not,

apart from childrens who have not reached the age of information and the mentally handicapped(those in this classification who die would be at modern-day introduced into the presence of the Lord) each and each guy or woman might have the possibility to settle for Jesus Christ as there very own Lord and Savior. There are human beings risking there existence on missions to attain the unreachable and introduce them to the Lord. additionally with technologies (pcs) extra human beings than ever are turning out to be to be presented to the Lord. while each and each guy or woman has had the possibility to get carry of the blessing of the Lord then his artwork would be accomplished and we can ultimately get to circulate abode. GOD BLESS.

I think
they are entitled for heaven straightaway
but they will be shown something before entering the heaven
and couple of questions will be asked by angles
if they answer as per the Gods will
they will be admitted in to heaven
