so why on earth do you say its not? what you belive has been disproven many times, yet your too full of yourselves too see that!

evolution has been proven time and time again. its three main proofs are blood, behavior and fossil evidence. ill explain the fossil one, as its the simplest and creationists only understand simple things.

fossil evidence for evolution goes like so: twenty feet below the surface of the earth, a fossil is discoverd. the specemin in the fossil has six legs, and appears to have a thin outer shell. this fossil is carbon dated back say, 200 million years.

now say another fossil is found, this time ten feet below the earth. it looks similar to the previous specemin, but is different in a few ways:
instead of six legs, it now has four - the front set are now claws, a possible self defence mechanism. Also the shell is now thicker, rather like armour. it has been dated back to 100 million years.

other specemins are also discoverd, showing slight changes to the newer fossil, making its way to the new one. these are dated in the period between the time of the two original fossils.

(cont from last point)

would that not signify that the species had changed over time to adapt to its environment?

I've only read the first and last lines of your question, sorry.

Creationists have an sneaky agenda, where the creation myth is not the end result. The end result is to suck you into their brand of christianity. They want you to believe their faith and if it takes the myth of the book of genesis to do that, then they will. In fact, you people make me sick. You take the work of thousands of unknown people (scientists), who have slaved for years in a lab, searching for understanding the nature of atoms, the reactions of biochemistry (essentially, what happens day to day in the average human body), our history as a species which has been studied and studied again and THEN given to peer review to yield the same results, the mind numbing work of cosmologists and physicists to try to understand the origin function and future of the universe. So what do you do? You piss all over it.

99.8% of scientists unilaterally accept evolution. Within the individual scientific disciplines, creationism is practically non existent. The leaders of creationist theories have spoken about entire globes of ice encircling the globe during our "6,000 year existence." Yes you, Ken Hovind. WTF are you smoking? You can't even define evolution. I've seen your videos. But wait, there's more.

A "museum" in the US claims that children kept carnivorous dinosaurs as pets and that belief in evolution by humans has a direct link to abortion and viewing internet pornography. You know the "museum" and therefore the link so I won't bother posting it.

The mind boggles, but as long as you have this infantile, irrational, morally ambiguous ("But you have to interpret the scriptures" they say. What? If so then what is right, I ask you?) book written by men, you will have a group of sad lemmings more than willing to follow because they can't think for themselves and think that anyone who doesn't have the vague (in fact highly questionable moral compass that is "fundamentalist christian ideology") understanding of the bible, the're destined for eternal damnation.

Sorry for the rant, but I've had a long week at work and it's not over yet. The majority of christians here seem like nice people, you know? I'm not talking to all christians here, but this fringe group of fundamentalists need to wake up and understand how their computer works.

See, that's how you can brodcast you "ideas" to the rest of us around this great big world. By using this piece of equipment invented by the same people you choose to contradict. People you accuse of "lying" or "misleading via satan" or "Lying to secure more funding" are the people who make your daily life easier.

Pray for me. It's scientifcally proven not to work.

Evolution can be divided into two parts, macro and micro. Micro evolution is a fact, where as macro evolution remains a theory due to debates on the exact steps of the evolutionary process. EVOLUTION DID HAPPEN we simply can’t trace the exact evolutionary steps of the of the 3 trillion plus species on earth. Considering there is no way that we can even prove if we have located all the species on earth, this may always remain a theory. We can prove though, beyond a doubt, that humans have evolved. We can trace it back conclusively 3.6 million years. 97% of all scientists accept evolution (so does the Catholic Church). Christians have spread lies about this excessively, they especially like to say evolution preaches that Humans evolved from monkeys. Evolution does not state that humans evolved from monkeys, that idea is completely absurd. Science states that monkeys and humans evolved from a shared forefather and are hence relatives, (all primates are) but we are in no way direct descendants of them.

Where is this so called proof then? Who proved it and When was it announced? I have asked several times for proof and all I have gotten so far is a guy that thinks the flu shot is proof and a guy who thinks a penny is the simplest of life forms. So please enlighten us if you have it because so far no one has met with the challenge. If not well then I will just assume your college professor told you this and you blindly followed suit.

Answer me this........ Are there not two totally different species on Earth right now that appear similar with only slight differences and yet scientists have proven them to be two totally different species not related in the slightest bit. Don't you think this is a more probable answer for the fossils. I mean besides the obvious fact that they won't ever tell us exactly how far apart they found this creatures from one another. It's like the so called Ape man. He was put together from different parts in different places all over the world and yet you wonder why we don't believe you. Hmmmmm I don't know.

It kills me when people say there's still no proof when you offered an entire list of proof from a credible source.

It kills me inside that people could be THAT full of themselves. You're wrong, you've been proven wrong. We forgive you get over it. You're just making yourselves look stupid by continuing to not believe in something that has been PROVEN!

Me: You don't understand theories. Is evolution ‘just a theory’? A “theory” in science is a structure of related ideas that explains one or more natural phenomena and is supported by observations from the natural world; it is not something less than a “fact.” Theories actually occupy the highest, not the lowest, rank among scientific ideas. … Evolution is a “theory” in the same way that the idea that matter is made of atoms is a theory.

I heard on a video log once that Creationism is the exact opposite of science, because science takes evidence and creates a theory that explains it. Whereas, creationism takes theories that some guy hundreds of years ago decided was true, and then they try to find evidence to back it up, no matter how many times science disproves it.
Though, I feel inclined to inform about something. You know all those mid-evolution skeletons they found of half-monkey, half-humans? They found a human skeleton, the same as we are now, that's older than the mid-evolution skeletons.

In the American vernacular, "theory" often means "imperfect fact"--part of a hierarchy of confidence running downhill from fact to theory to hypothesis to guess. Thus the power of the creationist argument: evolution is "only" a theory and intense debate now rages about many aspects of the theory.

It hasn't been proven
That's why it's called a theory lol

No offense, but you sound a lot more full of yourself than any Christian on here.

Don't you think the story of creation makes more sense than monkeys turning to humans. To me, the evoluition theory seems more like a way for scientists to pretend they know everything than truth.

:-)

It has not been proven!! And I have a question for you : ok, so you believe in the big bang?? where do you think all the meteriods and everything from that theory came from? another collison? and where did the objects from THAT collison come from?? everything came from somewhere and it is proven that life comes from other life, so how do you think the first "life" came about?! from God, that's how! I'm really sorry for you and i hope someday you will realize the truth.

I'm not all ready going to state the obvious in answer to your question as lots before me have already stated. What I would say though is the beliefs of others shouldn't bother you as long as you have confidence in yours.

I am a christian, but i believe some parts of evolution. I believe in natural selection and the idea of survival of the fittest. But i do not believe that we originated from apes. If we came from monkeys, then why don't we walk on all four limbs. If through evolution, us humans stood up, then why don't the monkeys also stand up. It hasn't been proven that humans stood up after evolving from monkeys.
