Black outs can happen as a reaction to a medication or a heart problem/illness. I had a black out when I got mono and didn't know it. My ex used to have black outs if he took Tetracycline. My mom used to black out as a young child. She'd been premature, and her heart hadn't fully formed before she was born. She had a hole in her heart until she got older and her heart fixed itself. Black outs CAN occur if you don't eat well-balanced meals several times a day. My cousin blacked out a lot until his family figured out he wasn't eating his veggies. EVER. So, after he was forced to eat better, he stopped blacking out. Black outs due to blood sugar issues need to be diagnosed by a doctor. Was your doctor saying you don't eat throughout the day? If you only eat once or twice a day, it really could be your problem. If you don't regularly provide food for your body, you will black out.

Unless you aren't eating adequate nutrition, protein, etc. That may not be the reason. You may want to try drinking more water, and taking a multivitamin supplement. If that doesn't help I would go see a new doctor.

If you are underweight your immune system is likely to be weak and feeling weak and tired and having fainting spells are not uncommon. Some people who lose too much weight too fast have these problems. Are you sure you are not underweight? Your doctor seems to think so.
