There's always just one pope at a time, but I guess you're talking about since the beginning?

This site lists 265, but I believe they are not including the "anti-popes," who claimed to be the legitimate Pope but weren't. Actually, at those times in history, there WAS more than 1 Pope at a time, until somebody figured out who was the legitimate Pope.
