When making a fresco (this is one) there are sketches made by scratching in the wet chalk. After the painting is done you don't see these sketch lines. But time has not been kind to this masterpiece.

I believe those lines are preliminary idea's Leo put on the wall and now are coming to the surface. It is very well possible that it is a face or merely a construct to help out with the perspective.

I don't see a face. I see a badly deteriorating fresco.

For the other part of the question, are you talking about Jesus' left, or our left? Because the guy third from Jesus' right (our left) is the apostle Peter. He's holding a knife. The one in front of him (second body, but third head since he's leaning back), is Judas, holding a small bag (thought to represent either the betrayal fee, or the fact that Judas was in charge of the money for the group). The guy three down from Jesus' left appears to be clutching his chest, if anything.

There are sites which diagram the whole painting out, with each apostle identified. There are also higher-resolution images of the Last Supper to examine (like this one posted earlier today: http://www.haltadefinizione.com/en/cenacolo/look.asp ) .

Sometimes what you'll see in one photograph isn't what you'll see in another---and the real thing could be different from all photos of it. I suspect that is the case here.
