I was just curious because the lady next door is giving away puppies and I was thinking of getting one male and one female but I was wondering when they got older would they well you know. If so I wasn't going to get two because I don't want a lot of puppies running around.

Dogs just do it! You can get two puppies, just have them spayed/neutered before they become sexual! This is a good question, many people do not think about the responsibility of having potential puppies! Check with your vet about when you should bring them in for spaying/neutering.

Just get them spayed and neutered. That should be done anyways for health reasons. You wont have to worry about puppies then.
