This guy (AJ Djo) wrote a book called the hot diet. he says he's a chemical engineer and appears to be very religious. anyway, it says that just drinking icy beverages(while eating) are the cause of weight gain. Does anyone know anything abotu the hot diet? has it worked for anyone?

there is absolutely no science or even logic behind that diet, don't waste your time.

It's outright absurd. You gain weight from eating high calorie foods and then not getting enough exercising. Your metabolism will slow down as you age, so you'll burn less and less calories every year, hence why older people generally weight more.

I've never heard of it, but it doesn't seem very logical to me. Your body "burns" calories in order to warm up cool liquids and foods. It seems to me that cold things would (in minute quantities) actually help you expend more energy.
