What even with the great surge? I guess the more Americans you put in danger the easier it is for the freedom fighters to pick them off. I wonder if there are any Americans left that actually think this war will end well for them? I guess it is easier to just trust Bush and not think about the reality of it for some simple minded people.

Just wait until we ease the "surge"; then the only thing surging will be US casualty rates.

if so, isn't it outstanding that the folk -- Democrats all, who declare that they are smarter than each and each of something people, and consequently would desire to be put in can charge of the country -- fell for the "lies"? your very own quotations tutor that those people, who want to run the U.S., all fell for what they call a blatant lie. Or ought to it is that the intel that became used became based on the numbers declared by way of Saddam and his cronies after the 1st Gulf conflict? then you definitely subtract the parts of WMD that we could make certain have been destroyed, and used something (which became non-0) by means of fact the justification? on the grounds that's what befell. Saddam and the Iraqi government HAD WMDs, and that they had used them against the Iranians and against their very own people. And a software it is "close down" in the time of inspections could be re-started surprisingly definitely. Even worse, have we dug up each and every sq. inch of the barren area in Iraq? So how do you realize for a fact that they have got not have been given any hidden stockpiles last? you do not, we don't, and no-one interior the worldwide community can tutor the presence or absence, the two.

FIRST....Your claim that this is the "deadliest" year since the Iraq war began dispite the troop surge is FALSE..... in fact since the troop surge the number of allied deaths has steadily declined. The death toll in September is one of the four lowest ever recorded and only one month is lower since the "mission complete" anouncement.
Your guess is obviously wrong also. As a professional soldier I think we are FINALLY on the right track to a victory.

I am not a big fan of President Bush.... the GWOT is almost the only thing he has done well. If it had not been for the likes of John Kerry , Jimmy Carter and a host of other limp wristed liberals .....if we had taken appropriate action in 1974 when we were invaded.....we would not need this war now.

Your obvious lack of knowledge about the politics of the region and how modern warfare is conducted labels you as the one who is "simple minded"

YOU made the point of tying the casualties to the troop build up.....YOU indicated it was a failure....I merely provided PROOF ....actual numbers ....that the caualty rate since the build up HAS DROPPED DRAMATICALLY.....as I said lowest in years....your snide attempt to tarnish the current gains and slime those of us who support the troops and the GWOT will not go unanswered....it is YOU that is a victim of liberal propaganda and are asleep

Those people aren't "freedom Fighters" you comunist. We lose soldiers in every war. If you think this war is so bad why don't you run for office and try to pull the troops out. Every American with an IQ larger than their shoe size knows that we, the troops of the United States Armed Forces, will win this war because we are trained and ready to go to combat, fight, and win even if it means laying down our lives for the good of the people. The only simple minded people are the people like you who can't help but support the murderous Insurgents who are lower than scum.

Let's forget the fact that this war has the lowest casualties of perhaps any war in history. Let's ignore that we have killed 10's of thousands of the enemy in Afghanistan and Iraq. Let's ignore that pressure from the media and the Left is forcing our military to fight with one arm tied behind their backs, must double think and second guess any decision to fire at an enemy as they risk court martial (even when they themselves are under fire). Let's forget the worthless pukes who protest them at their hospitals and even funerals. Let's forget that it has only been recently that the military deaths have passed the number of deaths from 9-11, after several years of war.

Let's just use the number of their deaths as a political weapon. That is, after all, what they volunteered for, and is the reason they continue to volunteer.

I'm sure they are all giddy over the thought that Hillary will be their new Commander-in-Chief. She has always instilled a great sense of loyalty and confidence in our Armed Forces. And to know that Bill will be behind her, giving her the vast wisdom of his brilliant military leadership experience, is just too much to be hoped for.

Maybe you need to realize that there have been fewer deaths since the surge started than there were before the surge. More people = less death.

Terrible thing is only the solders killed are counted not the ones missing legs, badly injured in one way or another and also the trauma suffered by those lets say were in a vech. where others were killed or around fellow solders who were sniped.
Another huge factor all the innocent Iraq men, women, old people & children we have killed and mamed with our smart bombs and randum shooting - I do not blame our military for any of this, it's totally on the shoulders of our current crop of corrupt polititions.

Strangely enough, though, with the troop surge, violence is DOWN in Iraq 70%.
