Does anyone who is not a native of Cincinnati like the taste of Cincinnati chili.
I'm from Michigan and find it awful. It does not taste like any chili I've eaten

It isn't supposed to be eaten like regular chili. Don't fill up a bowl with it and then eat it with a spoon. That would be a big mistake.

It is meant to be eaten as a sauce....over spaghetti, with pinto beans, tabasco, chopped onions, and mild cheddar shredded cheese, and crunched up oyster crackers. That, my friend, is called a 5-way with all the extra condiments.

Either that, or use it as a sauce on your hot dogs.

I LOVE IT!

I actually live in KS now, and have to order the packets of seasoning mix from OH so I can make it at home.

It is one of the only things I miss about Ohio....the other is La Rosa's Pizza and Graeter's Ice Cream...both from Cinci.

Hey ,I'm from Michigan too.Although you don't sound like you're from Detroit or Flint.Anyway I've never had Cincinnati chili, but I;m suspect of anything that comes from from a place that once had Jerry Springer for a Mayor. Also Cincinnati is down by Dayton, Ohio and I suspect that olace too.Every year the Grand National Trap Shoot is in Vandalia, Ohio.Besides it's on the Kentucky border.Recall Kentucky was a Union state in the Civil War.Not that that is a bad thing but just a fact.Besides I have the suspicion that WKRP is a real radio station.

I think it's repulsive. Who puts cinnamon in their chili then serves it over spaghetti??

Speaking of Michigan, not sure what part you're from, but are you near a National Coney Island? I recently moved from Michigan to Georgia, and I miss my coneys!! These fools here have no idea what a coney is, much less where to buy a decent hot dog. Oh, and they have the NERVE to refer to pop as "soda." Bunch of backwards @#$%^&$*!!

Hehe, seriously--I love it here, but I do miss the coneys in Michigan. The natural casing hotdogs that snap when you bite into them, the chili, the onions and mustard...mmmm.

I guess I got off on a tangent. Sorry about that--just reminiscing. :) But yes--Cincinnati chili is VILE AND REPULSIVE.

I wasn't that impressed with it. I prefer chili in a bowl with some shredded cheddar cheese. Lots of hype though. Kind of like New york cheesecake.
