what is the easiest way to go to Broadway from Penn Station?

its best to walk, its only about 10 blocks, if not the subway would be the easiest. dont even try to get a cab in the area, it will cost a lot and take forever with all the traffic.

what do you mean by broadway? if you mean broadway, as in the street, do what the 2 before said. If you mean Broadway as in the Great White Way (42nd street and Times Square, where the Broadway shows are located) then you can take the A, C, E, 1, 2, 3 uptown from Penn Station to 42nd street Times Square and you will be at the heart of broadway

if you do mean the Theater District (because Broadway is a very long street and is at least 12 miles long in Manhattan...), then WALK.

either up Eighth Avenue into the mid-40's, or up Seventh Avenue until it intersects with Broadway at 44th Street (Times Square). either way the walk is no longer than 10-15 minutes.

it is NOT worth the time nor the expense to go any other way.

Walk one block east and you'll be at Herald Square (the intersection of 34th st, 6th Ave, and Broadway.)
Penn Station is at 34th st & 7th Ave, under Madison Square Garden.
If you're talking about all the Broadway theatres, just stay in Penn Station and follow signs for the 1, 2, and 3 trains "Uptown & the Bronx" take any of these trains one stop uptown to 42nd st-Times Square and there you are.
