play floor games, build things with blocks, play dressup, run outside, throw footballs (soft toys), kick balls, get a tball set and have em try to hit tha ball, rent movies that have songs, dance around the house. make snacks that dont require cooking and have them help you. color with them. you can also search on yahoo for like kids activities and you can also search by the age groups too.
Do NOT leave the kids alone, and if you have to use the bathroom leave the door open.
ask the parents what they do for dicipline and also ask for the routine of things and make sure you go by it. like what time they eat, nap, bathe, and go to bed. also ask them how they get the kids to sleep (also another routine) usually as long as you go by that u shouldnt have any problems. also ask the parents about any allergies, phone numbers, ect good luck!

This can be a tricky job. I have a six year old myself. Foster their imaginations. Play dress up. Act out some of their favorite stories. Let them give you some ideas.

Keep them busy playing games. Do things outside if the weather permits. You can always watch a good video for quiet time.

The Best advise I can offer, Is pay attention to them. Constantly. Play with them. talk with them color with them. But don't ever think "Ok they are playing good I can go do something else" As soon as you do that they will turn on you and be rotten. But if you pay attention to them they will be fine.
Children of that age love attention. and alot of times will do anything they can to get attention
