OMG you people are freaks! Never mind.
All this cr*p about "how do you know that" and "it's not true". Give me a break. I deal with people everyday, and it's always the bible beaters who are the worst people.

They don't want to BE good people, they just want to appear good.
If people were to give an honest answer to the question, would you rather be good and thought of as evil by everyone, or be evil and thought of as good by everyone, you KNOW which they would choose.

I don't know but like my Pastor always tells us. The Church is like a hospital for sick people. People come to get something out of it whether it's healing for the soul or to get themselves back on the right track. Either way it doesn't make them a good person but deep inside they long for a change within themselves.

going to church does not make you good- Jesus died on the cross for our sins- and He alone is good- If someone says that going to church saves or makes us good- ask them this- What part about church do you think makes that person better? a church goer may or may not be saved. I went to church for 17 years thinking I was a good person- people would tell me that too- however until at 17 I looked at myself through the eyes of a holy God- I realized going to church is not what makes me good- goodness does not save, Jesus' death on the cross does.

i think people confuse going to church as being the way to being a Christian though fellowship in Christ is a wonderful thing we all should understand that the real CHURCH is the body of Christ and not confuse the building with a name on it labled by different religions
