Hi Sandy,
I think that the thing I have learned the most while on my journey to Heaven is this. The longer your on the road the sooner you turn things over to God. Meaning as a young Christian I tried to carry things myself, not understanding that the Lord wanted to take care of them for me. As I have gotten older I find that I pray much differently as well. One night I was praying and telling God that my loved one needed to get out of a situation and was almost telling him what to do about it. It was just then that I realized that God doesn't need help getting things done. It wasn't that I thought God needed my help I just was talking to him. But I stopped praying like that and pray that his will is done in my life and all that I pray for as well. As I read and study his word I find that I see things that I hadn't seen before, as I need them in my own life. The more I study his word I understand that all the people in it had a personality just like we do, they are all different, just like us. I am finding so much more now that I can read his word understanding more about Grace. I found that if you read it without this you might not get as much from the word. I read Ephesians every day for a month to try to learn more of the Grace Christ gave to us. I have found that when I first got saved I wanted to escape hell, now I find that I want so much to please my Lord and Savior. To walk right in his sight, even though I know I will fail along the way. I want to give him Praise and Honor, to glorify His Holy Name. I want to tell the whole world that Jesus Christ is Lord of Lord and King of Kings, and he chose me to be one of his. Blessed be His Holy Name. May the blessings of God the Father be on you and peace fill your home, may Joy fill every part of life and love fill you with the hope of our coming King.

the only way to grow is through time spent in the Word and
through prayer. and listening to other christians. i have
scripture cd's. without these i could Not have become
the better Christian that i am today. i have had them for
14 years and they are life to me. i have went from reading
" The Way" Bible to the KJV to the CJB. i have come so far
spiritually by hearing the word played almost everyday.
that is why to me faith is everyday and not just on Shabbat!
i am transformed by the word becoming real in my life!

It takes time to grow spiritually. Our aim is to become more like Christ. Precious steps to follow. I am happy for His grace and mercy, but we need to be willing to serve him. He does not call for qualified, He qualifies the called.
