I paid my CC bill online last night, but it still shows that I haven't paid it. So, does that take a while to go through?

yes. it takes a few days to go through, and a few days to clear at your bank. if you are worried though, just call them to confirm.

Every company has it's own rules and posting time frames. Some allow same day posting, others don't. Depends on how bad they want to screw you over.

Bank of America keeps pulling the ability to pay online, praying that you won't have enough time to make your payment on time. Then they get to move you to default interest, right now around 35% interest. Sweet deal for them. Sucks for us.

And our elected officials let them do this to us, all in the name of record profits. But wait! There profits are falling! And the bankruptcies are coming. Idiots.

Some take a couple of days to post.

I paid one on Monday. The payment will post tomorrow (11/7) even though I scheduled it for today (11/6).

Yeah it never posts right away, it takes at least 24 hours sometimes longer depending on what time of day you submitted it. If you did it say after 2pm than it might be on the next day's business and take even longer.

Alright, you did. I told you not to do it but you did it. Next time buy a 41cent stamp. Don't do any transactions like that on line.
You are not going to get any advantage by doing that. And by not doing that you could save yourself a lot of grief in the long run.

It takes a day or two to clear the payment. What matters is that they have a record of you paying it on time. You'll be fine.

may be 24 to 48hrs, the payment effected will surely be reflected, unless otherwise you have entered details wrongly
