I am 21 now and I haven't read the whole Quran yet. I only know Juzuu Amma and I memorize most of it. Whenever, I decide to read it. I start with Sura al Baqara and finish half of it and then I stop. Arabic is my first language but I find it hard to read it and I often have to read the same Aya more than once to understand it. I though it is time consuming as I am a university student and I have to study a lot and my eyes and brain need rest.
How often do you read the Quran and do you find it easy to understand it?
Thank you
Salaam

Mostly everyday, but I don't think you have to read the Quran in sura order. At least I didn't. Find the most intriguing sura and start there, that way you will finish it and hopefully want more. Al Baqara is the longest sura, it's hard to read it all at one time. Don’t worry you'll be fine just don't give up. Oh and make sure to say the magic words so the devil won't get to you. Salaam.

well even if u are a university student, that doesnt make u different from others. others are much busier than you, but take out time for worshiping their lord. 4 or 5 hours sleep is enough. wake up in morning, pray the morning prayer, then pray the holy quran, how much ever u can till time comes for u to go and get ready for your university.

the holy quran with translation are now days available, so whats hard in understanding what u read? dont always keep on reapiting the 2nd surah of the quran always. carry on and read other surahs.

there are 114 chapter in the holy quran, which are divided into 30 parts. and each part takes and hour to read. so in a month u can finish the whole quran, if u read 1 part every day.

and in your free time read the translation. i hope this helps. becuase i am not saying it like this only, i practice on what i have just said above.

I many times in basic terms study it on the week ends, however not consistently... so not normally adequate. I do pay attention to Quran normally at artwork however. from time to time regular, or a minimum of two or 3 days out of my artwork week (it relies upon on what my job is for the day, as to if or not i'm able). I many times initiate listening at my 9:30 am injury until eventually around midday whilst i flow to lunch. i'm on Sura 22 on the 2d (al-hajj/the pilgrimage), however because I even have that spot saved on my computing device at artwork, it potential the final financial disaster I study substitute into 21. The english translation of the financial disaster is "the prophets." like the call shows, it mentions a number of the prophets, alongside with Jesus. and many of the flaws relating to them, to boot as different issues. I study the bible at times additionally... however I persist with the Quran, so i can't say I provide it the comparable magnitude in making time to study it (it somewhat is been a collectively as). yet I do appreciate each and all of the books that have the gospel. you're able to study the Quran collectively as you study the gospel interior the bible... you will possibly finally end up pleasantly bowled over at a number of the similarities.

My mother tongue is not Arabic, but I have done a small Arabic course specifically to understand Holy Quran. Now, I cannot speak Arabic or can't understand Arabic TV programs, yet I find it easy to understand Quran. I think most Arabic people speak in Arabic which is somewhat different from Quranic Arabic, sometime people do not know the background of the ayah, they find it difficult. I suggest you to do a small course, specifically to understand Quran, then it will be very easy. You can also download and listen the Quran audio, that also helps a lot

I read the Quran a lot throughtout the day. Also, we listen to Quran and sometimes I sit with my Mother-in-law and listen to her read the Quran. My husband is really great with helping me understand whatever I do not completely understand. My suggestion to you, to really try to find time as you will be doing good.. The Quran is not meant to be read all at once just to read it. You should try to listen to the Quran and recite with that this way you can learn. I know it is hard when in the University and dealing with family and friends but try to take one day out of the week to sit. Even if you only read one chapter it is ok. If you can try sitting with someone and reciting outloud..
I read a study, it had said students who did their prayers correctly and read Quran had higher test scores then those who did not.

im a college student too, with a part time job, and gym membership..you dont have to tell me about being busy!! But i find no excuse to say you dont have time for reading quran..I read one page 5 mins before i go to sleep.. taking 5 mins of your 24 hour day isnt gonna destroy your grades or take away sleep time.
My quran is the text with the translation next to it so that i can read it and kno what im reading.

I strongly recommend you to READ ONLY ONE CHAPTER A DAY, so you would have time to think about the implications for your life.

One reason most books don't transform us is that we are so eager to read the next chapter, we don't pause and take the time to seriously consider what we have just read. We rush to the next truth without reflecting on what we have learned.

Don't just READ the Koran. INTERACT with it. Underline it. Write your own thoughts in the margins. Make it YOUR book. Personalize it! The books that have helped people most are the ones that they reacted to, not just read.

The final Juzuu is desigened that way for a reason. I have already revealed why it was created in that fashion for those who need to start should start as you did Al hamdoullah.

Please stop after each line is completely read and understand everything about that line before you advance beyond that revelation and its meanings to the next line when it comes to reading the Quran you need all the support beside it that was granted as a mercy and guidance unto you and all of us Al hamdoullah.

I seen many people read the Quran and still have no idea what it means. Why do you think that is so, maybe they where not taught how to read it and how to use it in its infinate knowledge and perfection Al hamdoullah.

Maybe when things flip over to the meaning it will help you and maybe not. It has been given explaination to as deep as you would like to go and further if you care to add on to it the knowledge that you also can be granted by meaning and your own meaning of things is not the same meaning that someone else has. But the Quran is unchanged in the language you are reading it in, that is key for steadfast peace and patience with the pureist of hearts when reading it. As my fingers on my hands are not the same nor is the speed and knowledge of those around us and or ourselves for that matter. You have your own speed and there is depths that can be taken beyond in knowledge through understanding.

For instance, for you to succeed in your prayers, they have to mean something to you for you to do them? As such the book of Light has to have meaning to you also in all its infinate wisdom granted to thee.

A gift to memorize it as such granted as a mercy, a blessing to understand it as granted to thee is a miracle and more proof of Allah SWT existance in everyday life of a human being. Al hamdoullah Khair inshAllah brother and may you read the book like those of us before that read it continuously every single week. If you read anything in your entire life in preperation for your life, it would be Al Quran for its living and breathing part of every mummins life and is never put down before this world and its needs. Good topic of discussion around several great friends in Islam and even some in other faiths to understand the commitment that is needed to hold such a light in your hand.
