are they saying eat eat 5-10 fruits AND 5-10 vegtables, or are they saying i can eat like 5 fruits, and 1 vegtable?

80g portions of EITHER or BOTH fruits AND OR vegetables.

Eat 5 80g portions of fruit
OR
Eat 5 80g portions of vegetables
OR
Eat 3 80g portions of fruit along with 2 80g portions of vegetables etc etc etc. Mix and match.

The current guideline is 12 to 15 SERVINGS of fruits and veggies per day. A serving of spinach is a cup, one large apple would be 2 servings. Some items a 1/2 cup would be considered a serving.

And no fruits alone don't get it, you need the nutritional elements that are in veggies. Both are important for your body to keep you health.
