John 1:1 In beginning was the Word (Christ) and the Word was with God and the Word WAS God.

How can Jesus be both God AND a created being? Sure seems like a major misunderstanding of scripture on the part of those who follow a false doctrine.

EDIT for Mormon Duck: It's been done, dear one. Read John 1:1. That is proof that Mormonism is a false doctrine. If you don't believe what you read in God's Word, why read ANY of it. You're been deceived!

There is no misunderstanding. Mormons believe that the Bible was corrupted by the Catholic church, so you can't trust what IT says. But you CAN trust what the Book of Mormon says.

The Book of Mormon has been advertised in the Reader's Digest as "Another Testament". This gospel was given to Joseph Smith through the angel Moroni. Just this very "message" was given the only double Anathema in scripture by apostle Paul.

Galatians 1:8-9
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

I guess you really are obsessed with the idea that Jesus could have a brother. Even more so that the brother could use his agency to do evil. I am sorry that you have a major misunderstanding of scripture.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

The LDS Church teaches that Jesus and the spirits of all men are eternal and were with the Father in the beginning. All are housed in a created earthy body, but no one says that Jesus was a created being. Satan will never be given a physical body.

D&C 93:29 Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be.

As we don't believe the Jesus is or ever was God, our interpretation is different. We believe that God created Jesus, Satan and everyone else, making us spirit brothers and sisters. I don't care if you agree, people like you are the ONLY reason that I am still in the Church. I figure that the reason you guys dislike us so much is that we are more right than you are ready to admit.

There is The God Head which consists of 3 different parts, The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost, We make up the body of Christ ourselves when we have Jesus in our lives,
As far as this Mormon stuff, this is a cult, We are severely warned in the Bible to not change it, They did, You can see how much, It is such a shame people get into this, It is not the truth, there are books and pamplets in the Library that shows all the false teachings of Joseph Smith, and why he was wrong, God told us to bewared of false prophets, Its sad to see so many follow.

Jesus has always been here. Absolutely a great question. Jesus is not created being. He is the Creator. John 1:1

Can you explain to me how long eternity is and how old is the universe and how old is the earth? Where does the universe end?

What does God use all the space He has for?

What did He do before the Earth was created?

Jesus and Heavenly Father are two distict beings, but they are also one and the same. You can't understand it with that kind of attitude. You need to open your heart, mind and sould to God. I'm Mormon, and it took me thirteen years to come to understanding of what it means. You...well, based on the phrasing of your question, you're just looking for people to agree with you.
Sorry if I offended you.

I agree. The argument is made even more convincing when one reads Colossians where it states Jesus created everything. If He was created then He could not have created everything.

Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
