If they took a sample of your urine and tested it (by dip stick or sending it to the lab) and it came back negative, then you don't have a UTI (urinary tract infection). You could just have an irritable bladder aka interstitial cystitis - meaning you feel like you have an infection, you have all the symptoms, but no bugs are causing the symptoms.
Best treatment for this is lots of cranberry juice and/or vitamin C daily for prevention of symptoms. BUT to treat the symptoms of burning go to the pharmacy and get whatever they have to help - "ural" "uricalm" etc.. basically citric acid and bicarb soda with flavouring. exactly the same as "dexsal" "eno's" and "wards fruit saline" (these are all found either in the drinks aisle or the medicinal aisle at the grocery store in australia - maybe different brands in your country). I have suffered this for years, its not fun!!!
If thy didn't test your urine then they are BAD BAD BAD, and you need to get it tested ASAP to find out.
goodluck

Unless you see a doctor nothing can be told correctly and specifically. Urinary track Infection symptoms are as under -
Not everyone with a UTI develops recognizable signs and symptoms, but most people have some. These can include:
* A strong, persistent urge to urinate
* A burning sensation when urinating
* Passing frequent, small amounts of urine
* Blood in the urine (hematuria) or cloudy, strong-smelling urine
Each type of UTI may result in more specific signs and symptoms, depending on which part of your urinary tract is infected:
You may see your doctor or any other physician and have treatemnts. Urinary culture test etc. may have to be done. In the meantime, if you feel more uncomfortable you can take daily 2 tablets of URISPAS -
Urispas Base drug is Flavoxate. If you really have UTI this medicine will ease out the situation.-

Well they should have gotten you into the doctor sooner than a week. UTI's are nothing to mess with. But if you can't get in faster than that try drinking a lot of 100% cranberry juice, and a lot of water. I too have suffered all my life with UTI's it would be my suggestion to go to an urgent care center and get on antibiotics. They can also prescribe you a pill called Peridium to take the pain of urinating away instantly. It will stain you undies though. Good Luck!!! :)

You can help reduce the discomfort by taking the following steps:
- Take a pain-relieving medication.
- Use a hot-water bottle to ease pain.
-Drink plenty of water.
- Avoid coffee, alcohol, and spicy foods, all of which irritate the bladder.
- Quit smoking. Smoking irritates the bladder and is known to cause bladder cancer.

I agree see a Dr before next week....Like today. My Dr will at least take a specimen and prescribe for me. UTI are very painful and not something to mess around with. I have also found Uristat, over the counter, will help with symptoms now, but you need antibiotics. Drink LOTS of water. And if your Dr won't see you, find one who will - a clinic, ER something. Good luck.

You might want to go to another doctor. You probably do have a UTI, or maybe a bladder infection, and since you're in pain, you shouldn't wait a week--you should get it treated ASAP. Go to the ER if you can't get an appointment anywhere else.

Keep your system flushed with lots of water, Stop any food or drink that is acid. Sitting in a nice warm bath is very soothing. You might have a stone caught in the urethra. and it may pass if it is small enough, but you will think you have died if it does. But then the discomfort will be over. But if that is the case you may have other stones that need to be taken care of.

I don't know what to say. I pray about everything. Just whatever you do in between God's great love is right there with you -
whether you choose to believe it or not :)
I can't give any medical solutions because I don't know what you should or shouldn't be doing but some ginger tea or rasberry tea never hurt anyone.
Good luck God Bless
