2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Hey TTC, I am incognito. How have you been.

whatever smarty pants said can be applicable on Christians too.

Edit: No I'm not speaking about crippled christians, I'm speaking about all christians. I can use her argument to say that Christians also turn their deaf ears to the sound of reason! No offense

THEY OFTEN..... say... that they DON'T WANT.... Christ.... because of.... Hypoctitical Christians.....!

...............That is NOT TRUE!

They..... LOVE..... THEIR SIN.... and Darkness.....!

(John 3:19-20-21) And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil.

(Joh 3:20) For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

(Joh 3:21) But he who practices truth comes to the Light so that his works may be revealed, that they exist, having been worked in God.

...........AND.......

(2Corinthians 4:3-to-7) But also if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to those being lost,

(2Co 4:4) in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving ones, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (who is the image of God) should not dawn on them.

(2Co 4:5) For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

(2Co 4:6) For it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine;" who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

(2Co 4:7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us;

THEY OFTEN..... say... that they DON'T WANT.... Christ.... because of.... Hypoctitical Christians.....!

...............That is NOT TRUE!

The Above Verses.... Tell US.... The Real.... Truth!

Thanks for Asking A GOOD.... Question! RR

Probably the fact that Christ doesn't exist. That seems like it'd be a big "roadblock".

18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written:
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."[c]
20Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

My answer? see with their heart not their mind. Sometimes things don't haft to make sense.

faith first. The you will see and hear Christ.See him when

The cause that keeps me from seeing or hearing him is the fact he doesn't exist. You're welcome to carry on conversations with yourself and attribute a listener to some jesus guy, but it's all in your head. Once you realize this you'll start down the path to mental maturity.

Intelligence, reason and rationale, common sense, grounding on the physical sciences.

In order to accomplish seeing Christ one needs one or more of:
extreme personal anguish causing you to become delusional
extreme gullability
weakness for group mentality thinking
low self esteem
rigid or non existant thinking
hearing the message from someone you trust or respect or both

According to God's Word, one must first be called unto Him. Without that, they have no choice but to remain spiritually blind.

God bless you for asking such a great question!!
