A lot of psychological disorders are linked with other disorders. For example lots of people who are autistic tend to have eating disorders as do people with depression. They are all to do with control and the fear of losing it. Food and eating is one thing we usually have full control over, so yes lots of disorders spill over into other things.

i think its more like people who have OCD tend to suffer with eating disorders. obviously people with OCD have problems with control and need to constantly feel in control, so mnay sufferers tend to focus pon their diet, which becomes an obsession. however not all OCD sufferers will develop an eating disorder, obviously low self esteem, negative self image, bullying etc etc will also contribute!!

I have studied OCD and have worked with several clients that have OCD and not one of them had an eating disorder. Its not to say that there may be some correlation, but to my knowledge there are none.

Id disagree with that, you tend to have one condition or the other. It is all about gaining control.
