I don't know.. I'm just wondering how 80S MAN got a thumbs down for a very good well-thought out, and open-minded response.
Oh, and BTW, I haven't heard near as much whining from the Gordon fans as I have from a lot of Jrs fans, and no, I'm not talking about anyone in this current forum.

I think what happens is that people obsess over their favorite driver. Then they become emotional and get hurt feelings. They feel that somehow they're living a dream through their driver, because that's the only way they can feel the excitement of competitive racing, without ever having to have had raced in their lives. They become complacent to view and judge from their living room couch and through forums like this. Without an actual adrenaline release from the act of racing they just whine out of frustration, because they have no control over the situation. At least if a driver whines or complains, he has the right to, because it is his job. Either that or they're emotionally unstable.

Like they say, "birds of a feather". I have to say, though, my hubby is a fierce Gordon fan, and he's not a whiner. But, it's hard to live with him when he wins!
Go Jr.>>>>

I have to agree with 80's man.
I am die hard Jr. fan, die hard NASCAR fan, which isn't easy being from a Hockey country. There is so much much whining by fans and I don't really notice near as much from any driver including Gordon.
As much as we all are jealous of HMS and their winning crews, drivers, etc. I guess some whining has to be expected but it does get pretty silly at times.

My friend is a Gordon fan, geez she whines more than Jeff could in 5 yrs... I have not been whining about Jr, heck I've been swearing more than Smoke can this yr.. Has not been easy being a Jr fan, but whining does no good..I just let my frustrations get right to the point, its been a major "F'd" up yr for us Jr fans..
Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2008..

Is 88 still around? as for the whinners i have to give top bidding to Stewart, next is Kurt, then you have to give the immature kid vote to Edwards who looked like a school yard bully in his fake hit to a real driver in Matt. As for Gordon , yes he did use to whine ,but has seemed to matured quite a bit over the years, and i have listened to Mark Martin whine at his age, geez,... so dont be haten and just keep following that personality of a cow driver of yours.
