Go to www.globalpauhana.org and you will find some of the expat Hawaiian communities--yes, mostly in California and Nevada, although there are quite a few in Oregon and Washington as well.

Race and ethnicity are diverse. Your races, as you stated, are White, interior of sight American, and Asian. you're neither interior of sight Hawaiian or a Pacific Islander inspite of which you have been born and raised in Hawaii. interior of sight Hawaiians are people who descend from the unique human beings of Hawaii -- those that have been there whilst it substitute into the dominion of Hawaii and formerly it substitute into the state of Hawaii. A Pacific Islander is a individual whose ancestors are initially from an island interior the Pacific including Tonga or Samoa or the cook dinner Islands. Is it "incorrect" which you declare interior of sight Hawaiian/Pacific Islander? confident and no -- Technically it rather is incorrect because you at the instant are not (you're White, interior of sight American and Asian) yet on the comparable time no person is regulating your self-identification and in spite of if or not you think approximately it "incorrect" ethically is as much as you, rather now because you're recommended of what a close-by Hawaiian is/isn't and what a Pacific Islander is/isn't. ETA: You replaced your question to assert "nice" rather of "incorrect" yet I nonetheless stand by potential of my unique answer.

washington, california, and oregon.
im hawaiian and live in washington with my family. there are some hawaiian restaurants we eat at...lei's, kauai kitchen, l&l hawaiian bbq and another one i can't remember the name of. oh, and get some ono poke in kirkland...broke da mouth kine!! we shop at a place called uwajimaya where you can find lots of island favorites...of course they aren't as cheap but when you crave 'em you gotta have 'em. oh and we go to the hawaii general store in seattle for our fresh poi every thursday!! there are even hula halaus and canoe clubs. oh and aloha spirit...i was surprised at how much there is because a lot of it comes from the locals of washington who frequently visit hawaii. they are so kind...it's like hawaii is a part of them.
lots of my classmates from maui went to college in california...mainly the bay area.
oregon is another place my classmates went and my cousin goes to college there and eats at a good hawaiian/local food restaurant.
well, sorry i couldn't give you more info...i only know what's going on in washington...well, some stuff. im sure there are lots more.
good luck!
aloha,
andra
