Their Jesus is a different Jesus. If Jesus is not God come in the flesh, then He was liar when He told the Pharisees that He was the eternal "I AM" of the Torah. This is confirmed by their wanting to stone Him for blasphemy. If He was lying, and was not God come in the flesh, then He was NOT a perfect sacrifice, a Lamb without spot or blemish. The Jesus of the LDS group is more in tune with the Jesus of Islam (ie Isa). If anything, they are more in line with that religion than Christianity.

Your respondents are mostly ignorant. Jesus is the Christ. He is the second member of the Godhead and is a God, having reached that status from the Father, being glorified by the Father upon completion of His mission here on earth, the atonement for mankind. Having said that, He was also the God of the Old Testament, Jehovah, the Great I Am. He worked under assignment from the Father throughout the Old Testament, speaking as if He were the Father. We become His begotten children when we accept Him as our Savior and are baptized into His family by taking upon ourselves His name. The Holy Ghost is also a God, the third member of the Godhead. They are all Gods and work in concert with each other to carry out the Father's plan for all of us.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is more Christian than any other because we know whom we worship, while others worship ignorantly. Yes, I am paraphrasing from the New Testament intentionally. Christians today are mostly just as ignorant as the Jewish people were in Christ's day.

Interesting to see all these people telling me what I supposedly believe or don't believe. lol

Of course Mormons are Christians. We worship Jesus. We believe that He is God. We believe that He is the Savior of the world and that only through Him can anyone be saved from their sins. We emulate Him and try to follow His teachings and His example. If that is "not a christian" to you, then I suppose that's your prerogative to label us whatever you want to. As for me, I think it handily qualifies as being "a christian".

However, after seeing some of the harsh statements here, I'm not overly eager to be lumped in with all the other "christians" out there....

Mormons are not Christians; They are counterfeits.
Mormon leaders have taught that Jesus’ incarnation was the result of a physical relationship between God the Father and Mary. They believe Jesus is a God, but that any human can also become a god. Christians historically have taught that God is Triune and that He exists eternally as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). No one can achieve the status of God, only He is holy (1 Samuel 2:2). We can only be made holy in God's sight through faith in Him (1 Corinthians 1:2).

You have misunderstood Mormonism. Mormons do believe Jesus is God, and they do worship him. And yes, they are Christian. Here's a quote from an objective (academic) source (“Anthology of World Scriptures” by Robert E. Van Voorst):

“…the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints…see themselves as Christian, and most experts in comparative religions would view this labeling as basically correct. That they…accept the Christian Bible as their first cannon is a good indicator of this. Moreover, “outsiders” to [Christianity], such as Buddhists, would almost certainly recognize them as belonging to the stream of Christian tradition.”

Jesus Christ is the Almighty, the Alpha and Omega (when speaking in the biblical sense as the God of the Old Testament) He is my Savior, King, Advocate with the Father, My Redeemer.
Would Christianity have the Bible were it not for a group of Jews who followed the Son of God? Do the Scriptures not state that Christ said: "Other Sheep I have which are not of this fold, them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepard?
I know Jesus is the Christ, the only Begotten of the Father in the flesh. God the Father spoke from Heaven on the Day of Christ's Baptism: "This is my Beloved Son, In Whom I am well pleased." He again spoke to a young boy in 1820 - Introducing His Son.
God the Father lives, Jesus Christ is His Son and my Redeemer.
God bless you all with the integrity of heart that allows you to respect others, and with all that you hope and pray for in your lives.

Yes. We do. We believe that Jesus Christ is BOTH Saviour AND God.

Just out of curiosity, where does the term "Trinity" come from? Can't seem to find it in the KJV Bible...hmmm...

We are Christians. We believe in Christ and follow Christ. Just because our theology of Christ is different doesn't change the fact that we believe in Him.

The definition of what a Christian is has been so narrowed down that NO ONE but the people who believe THE EXACT SAME THING fits. That's a little narrow minded in my opinion.

It's like I always say: You can say a duck has white feathers, a wide bill and webbed feet. You would be correct in that assumption, but it would also mean that you take out every other duck that isn't white, like Mallards, or wood ducks. There are many different kinds of ducks. So are the ones who aren't white just pretending to be ducks? What are they if they aren't ducks? Are they platypuses in ducks clothing? I don't think so! They are ducks.

We may not see eye to eye on what we believe, but if you use the dictionary definition, we are Christians.

Here's a site to explain it better. The question was asked by a non-LDS person and answered by an LDS person.

Well the definition of a christian is a ''follower of christ'', so whether or not they view Jesus as god or god's son doesnt change that fact that they follow him. Also, Jesus many times stated that the ''father is greater than I''. Also when Jesus was baptized in the Jordan river, a voice from heaven said, ''this is my son, the whom i approved''.

Yes, they are Christians. I am a Latter-Day Saint and I have a very real relationship with my Lord and Saviour. Say what you want about me not being a Christian, I know what I am.

I think it's a total hoot to be told what I believe.

No, I do not beleive that Mormons are Christians. I also believe that not all people who call themself Catholic, Baptist, Methodists, etc. are Christians.
My definition for Christian is this: a person who believes in the truth of the Bible, as the complete and inerrant word of God, and that it teaches of God the father, God the son who is Jesus Christ, and God the holy spirit. They believe that the Bible shows all persons to be sinners and in need of a way to be restored to God. They believe this is not of any persons own work, but of God through the death of sinless Christ on the cross. They have confessed their sin by faith, trusting in the forgiveness and salvation God offers, and now live their life showing themselves to be "imitators of Christ..", that is, truly Christians.
Many cults, and even religions that are thought to be "christian" do not teach what I believe to be biblical Christianity. The Mormon church certainly does not teach in accordance with what I stated above. They do use heavily from the Bible and use the names God and Jesus, but the fail the test of true faith, as I see the Bible teaching it.
I know my comments here will probably not be accepted by all, and that is okay. I know that I am a Christian; and I know that I am blessed to live in a country where I can beleive as I choose about my own religion and the religions of others.
