I am new in the US, from the UK. I asked my boss to borrow a rubber because it was a big emergency. He gave me the strangest look! So I think I made a mistake and need to correct it. Can I be sacked for that?? I was so stressed I asked to take a break to go out for a ****.

yeah what they said ,+ try not to use the words rubber and **** in the same sentence.like don't say i need another rubber i'm about to go out to have a ****. that might get you sacked.

The word rubber is another term for condom. You'd have been better asking for an eraser as this is the correct word for what is commonly known as 'a rubber' which is what you use to erase written mistakes.
