Perhaps, but if you live a good life and are prepared, then your anxiety should be lessened.

I guess your a product of the left-behind series, that believes a pre-trib rapture. The bible however teaches Christians will be around during the Great Tribulation. This can be found in many verses, but the two verses that best prove this claim are Revelation 20:4-6. Matt 24:29
Rev 20:
4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.
If the first resurrection occurs after the Great Tribulation, how could there be a previous resurrection? And yes the rapture is the resurrection.
Also check out this verse
Matt 24:
29 But IMMEDIATELY after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31 And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
So again we see that it appears the rapture happens at the end of the great tribulation. Another interesting point is if all of the Christians would disappear off the face of the Earth, then how stupid could the human race be to deny what is going on? The illuminati actually created the idea of the Pre-Trib rapture, so the Christians would not do anything to do stop the NWO.

There are several Christians that believe in the second rapture and several that do not. I believe in the rapture based on the Bible and based on the historical insights I received as I studied this aspect of the Bible in University. However, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
For those people (non-Christian/Christian/anyone) that are answering and no not believe in the rapture, that is fine, but please do not belittle the idea to those that do believe.
No to answer your question. No, its not abnormal to be anxious. I mean your talking about something that is going to be one of the biggest things to happen to human kind. It is something that we cannot completely phantom. The idea of Christ returning and His children rising to meet Him. Its not something that we can fully understand, so without knowledge comes fear.
If you feel that the Holy Spirit is trying to prepare you, He may be, but it also might be just because God wants a deeper relationship with you. Either way, get your life in gear for yourself and for our saviour. Best of luck and see you when the rapture happens. God Bless.

Rapture is basically just my favorite Blondie song. The theology behind the idea of a Rapture is pretty tenuous. The idea originated in the 1800's with fundamentalist John Nelson Darby and did not exist before that time. For a different perspective on it check out Revelation by Eugene Boring.

The Bible compares it to getting ready for a wedding, and what bride doesn't get anxious about her big day? Jesus is the Bridegroom, and the Church (saved believers walking in fellowship with Him) is the Bride.
Read the parable of the bridesmaids with their lamps waiting for the bridegroom to see one place where this comparison is made. The most important thing is to get and stay READY!
If you are feeling particularly anxious, read the Scriptures of comfort and pray to see if the Holy Spirit is directing you to do something in particular....maybe there is some sin you need to deal with (I compare this to cleaning house--I would be excited for an unexpected loved one to show up at my doorstep, but I might be anxious and embarrassed if my house wasn't ready for company!), or maybe there is someone you should witness to so they will be ready too!

First is normal good and healthy for Christians to be asking the question of how to be more like Christ.
He was sinless but the best we can do is sin less.
So asking to see our sins and to be healed of them is a good thing to ask. As for the rapture it is a modern invention the traditional readings of the "rapture verses" are read as being about the second coming when the living and the dead are judged. We don't know when this will happen but it can happen with in the twinkling of an eye. The key flaw with the theology of the rapture is that it says we will be spared from tribulation where Christians from the time of the early Martyrs on have been taught tribulation will be used by God to reach humanity. A period of persecution and tribulation is one of temporary pain.

It's quite possible, sweet girl, that the Holy Spirit is attempting to push you in the right direction. But I've never known a born-again Christian being anxious about the rapture. It's more common, in fact, to be excited about it and wanting Jesus to hurry!
God bless!

You really don't need to feel anxious about it. I would encourage you to use the anxiousness you feel about it to understand it more, but the end result of the rapture is that we who are saved will be taken up to heaven to spend eternity with him. Nothing at all bad about that.
