Dear Jo - Are you judging or just guessing what I think or believe?

What's wrong with it is that the bible itself tells us that is not how we are to understand what it's saying. "Study to show thyself approved, a workman the needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." & "line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little."

Why do you make me look up those big words like "espousing"?

I think the only thing wrong with it is that whole deal from the first page to the last page page. I hear the index is pretty well on target.

Edit before the thumbs down: I know the bible does not really have an index...it should though.

Hello,

I would say that there are some limitations in what one can promote in this day and age. There are some passages and words that one would do well to howl things like "Don't take on your neighbor's debts or you'll lose everything - even your bed!; don't be enticed by a harlot who tempts you to lie on her spiced silky sheets lest you get an arrow in your back (from the pimp) etc. On the other hand we cannot spout other sayings like an adulteress should be put to death as should sheep shaggers and homosexuals.

Cheers,

Michael Kelly

Well, considering that we would have to go out and murder the 3% of the American population that self-identifies as pagan, wiccan, witches, etc.

"Suffer not a witch to live..."

Absolutely nothing.
You better have some good proof to back yourself up if you want ME to believe any of it, though.

I'm pretty sure hate crimes are a felony now.

There'd be a lot of thumpers in jail.
