Well, there was this guy, and he made something called 'an invention' , and with that 'invention' he made it so that something called 'type' can be moved. Maybe you didn't hear about it?
Before people mainly wrote on stuff, stone being a really slow way to write. They used to write on soft clay and then harden them - those things are often called 'cuneform'. And other than that they wrote on a lot of things.
Now we can translate stuff into 'English', one of the modern languages. And people are brought up with their native language in 'English'.
God didn't write the whole Bible on stone tablets because He didn't see the need, who could carry them all?

Why do Christians reject the Bible yet declare they're so on the threshold of it while this is notably much the comparable as Islam? this is not any longer the comparable as ISLAM - ISLAM DENIES THE DIETY OF CHRIST. I'm not sure you are looking for a serious answer, but in case someone is, the copying of scripture involved much more than you might think.
The early scribes were very very meticulous in the jobs they did. Remember this was all done by hand. They never copied from memory. They never copied what they were transcribing word for word. They did it all letter by letter. They knew exactly how many letters were contained in a passage adn when they checked their work, if the numbers didn't add up, they destroyed their work and began over again.
I'm no expert in the area of archeology, but I do know that there are confirmed findings of scripture dated several hundreds of years apart (as far as when they were actually scribed) that are so similar it is scary. Maybe someone more versed in that area of Bible history can expand further.

Because God didn't write it.
The Bible is like Reader's Digest - a collection of good reads as determined by a group of stodgy old men. These passages are edited for content along the way, condensed occasionally, and often reformulated to maintain a message consistent with the editorial staff's opinions.
Besides, all it took for the commandments was one golden cow to show up and BOOM!!! Chalkdust, baby!!

Seriously: Pick a verse, any verse in the bible and find a comparitive scripture website, like blueletterbible.org. You'll find very little difference between them even going back to the original KJ version of 1611. If you compare the original texts with modern translations you will find few errors and those would be minor in nature.
PS: I love your user name. I've been a big Zilla fan since I was a kid.

Your question is a loaded question, seeing as it supposes man did change it.
Man did not. Most errors were errors in copying, such as misspelling a word.
The Jews devised methods of copying texts that minimized the chances of making such mistakes. No mistakes ever affected any doctrinal issue.

Don't you watch Futurama? All that would be needed to change something in stone is a robot slave thirsty for power.
