Sometimes heartwarming articles give a lift to our day. Thought I'd share the link to one that NASCAR fans might enjoy.

Uncle Red makes a good point, that people say Kyle doesn't win so why does he race?
That kinda brings Earnhardt Jr. to mind, why does he bother at all?
I guess it is in the blood. Famous father, untalented son. It seems the casee with both families.
Great article Sally, you rock Babe!

I work at a Speedway part time (big events) and each time the Petty's are there I have the honor of escorting them and their PR people around town to autograph sessions etc.. What an awesome couple. People say HEY Kyle doesn't really win why does he race....Because he is a Petty and it is in the blood this also brings their VJC to the forefront of what I think is one of the best images NASCAR could ever want....and what they have done for kids and are doing just says ya, way to go. Keep it up Petty's.

This a great article, thanks. Here is a little story of the kind of people the Petty's really are. Our PT Cruiser club raised money for charities and one of them was the Victory Junction Gang. We sent a check for a 1000 dollars to them and during Speed Weeks of 2006 we had a PT Cruiser show in Daytona at a local Dodge dealer. We got a surprise visit from Richard and Kyle and they gave us 12 team caps autographed by both of them and wanted us to use them toraise money for other local charities. To me this was a class act.

Well, Thanks for the article... and since I am a crafter by trade I shall think about making a few of the "victory lane" bears for the Petty camp next year. Pattie Petty started that camp for kids and it has grown to around 2000 kids each year now...

Guess I could crochet up an afagan or two also if they will send me that pattern too.

Until lazier times...

Hotttttttt doggggg

Yes thanks for this Sally B. The Pettys are a great family. I have been a life long Fan of Richard. They all do great work for the Kids. And it is nice for someone to post an Uplifting question for a change. I am sick of all the Bashing Questions on here!!!!!
