No, bagels aren't healthy. You can find some that are whole grain and calories are under 200, but "healthy" still wouldn't be the adjective to use.

You can make a sandwich out of a bagel, put cream cheese, butter, peanut butter, or whatever you want on it, but that just adds to the calorie count.

Maybe half a whole grain bagel with a bit pf peanut butter (for the protein and healthy fat) wouldn't be a horrid breakfast.

strawberry cream cheese.
I also make a sandwich that my husband has like everyday. It is a toasted bagel, regular cream cheese on both sides, and roast beef (or whatever meat you like). Then I heat it in the microwave for about 15 seconds to make it all hot. VERY GOOD!
Really, if you wanna be healthy, don't eat bagels and cream cheese.

A bagel can be healthy if it is whole grain. Sugary ones with white flour are not going to be very healthy. Bagels have alot of carbs in them. You should get some exercise if you are going to eat them every day or you will probably gain weight. You can put butter, honey, cinnamon & sugar, apple butter,,jelly, peanut butter

Cheese has protein and calcium so yes, it is healthy. Except it's got fat as well so don't over do it. Try the low fat variety.
Some other stuff that can go with it or in combinations... let your imagination rip:
- Fruit jams/jellies
- Butter
- Peanut butter
- sprinkles - chocolate, crushed nuts
- dust with fine castor sugar and cinnamon powder, toast briefly
- fried/poached egg
- hamburger patties
- egg custard spreads
and so on and so forth...

I make a great turkey sandwich on a bagel with hummus, honey mustard, and a crunchy vegatable like lettus or cucumber or spouts or cabbage. Very healthy and filling.
