Is there a movement by the media to try to scare us all to death?
MRSA, man eating bacteria, brain eating amoeba, TB, Bird Flu,
Most if all never amount to anything.
Is this some kind of Liberal brainwashing or is it a means of selling their product.

What do liberals have anything to do with any of this? In fact, haven't conservatives mastered the art of paranoia with there whole terrorists are going to kill us all nonsense and turn the US into a theocracy nonsense? The stuff you mentioned appears to be stories meant to get rating by scaring us, but the terrorist threats seems more like a cynical ploy used by politicians to justify why they feel free to wipe their *** with the Constitution.

No, politics doesn't control this one. The press does. And newspapers sell, and commercials on TV sell when there's some drama going on during the news. A lot of really small stuff gets blown up just so we will watch the news or buy a paper.
Is it scaring you to death? Not me. I live a nice calm life, as much as I can with a 17 yo tornado living in my house. And part of that calm life is ignoring stressful items on the TV, and reading only enough politics so that I can knowledgably choose a candidate.
I have better things to do with my time...better happier, calmer and more sustaining things.
