Sunday is a hangover day for many! So brunch is a great thing to do on Sunday morning. Pretty much every block of the city has a restaurant serving brunch. Just walk around your neighborhood (or near your hotel) and find one. Soho, chelsea, East Village, and Meat Pack are great areas to hang out. My favorite: go to Pastis on meat Pack: good food, affordable, beautiful people and very new york!

and sorry to say by Nirvana, the indian restaurant mentioned above, is not good. I have been there and it is best to go for dinner if you like indian food, but the food is okay. there are plenty of better and tradicional indian food in the city. And to me indian food for brunch is way too heavy... sorry for been honest :(

Best brunch hang out is the upper West Side. Just travel north of Lincoln Center and you'll find many places for brunch. On Sunday in the fall ideal for walking Central Park.

There's lot's of great places in Manhattan to have brunch, many have special Brunch menu's. Try area's where people actually live, upper east side (1, 2, 3 Lexington aves above 60th street) , upper west side along Amsterdam and Columbus aves and Broadway above Columbus Circle), the village. I'd also check out the hotel's. The outer boroughs also have some great places for brunch.
