No its not weird...5 years is nothing! i knew a guy who is nearly 23 and was going out with a girl who just turned 18 recently

no, i was 18 dating a 24 year old. just be careful that you are not an interesting notch - if you get my meaning. and besides which it doesnt matter what other people think if it feels right - it's only 5 years. but i have to say that if it was the other way round (you were 17, he 22) it would raise eyebrows - but i think that this is just the current 'climate' that we're in. have fun

Not at all, as long as you make each other happy. I went out with a 22 year old when i was 17 and it didn't feel weird at all. Best of luck.

Not at all. That is quite a good age gap belive it or not. People may think its a tad odd now, but you will be grateful for the gap ina couple of years. My bf is 4 years older than me, and I love him even more for that because he can calm me down and be the sensible one. There is nothing wrong with that at all. If you are happy, then nothing else matters.

Well, there is the gap emotional maturity, meaning there are things in life he may have experienced that you have yet to learn about.
If you can live with that, then you're all good.
Besides, I always thought no matter how big (emotionally) that age gap is, it will rapidly close as you turn 18 or 19.

Just wait another yea and u'll be legal .
The age is alright....5 years won't seem like a great deal 10 years down the track.

well you are over age of consent so legally its ok.
using a formula for age in relationships.... 22/2 = 11 + 7 = 18.
so it almost fits that too.
as long as you are happy and he treats you right.. then its ok.

I don't think so you will soon be 18 and that is the legal majority age just don't rush things he may be more mature than you and may want commitment don't rush enjoy being young. good luck.
