Met someone one on the internet long distance from me and met in person need help with question?

Talked on the phone for 3 weeks before meeting he sent me tapes of his job and job website,pictures of himself etc.for peace of mind.He flew here for the weekend and there was chemistry.I cannot move for a few years till my son gets out of highschool which is 3 1/2 years.Talked last night about me flying there now and it seemed like I was the one bringing the subject up about visiting him.I said I could probably come at the end of the month and then he said he wanted to see me sooner,He is paying for the flight with his frequent flyer miles.I wanted him to make more of a initative to schedule my coming .What can I say to get him to communicate better with this? To sustain a realtionship like this things need to be planned pretty well with work schedules .sons school activities etc. Thanks anyone for help on this.

I've been in a LDR for 4 years now. A LDR takes a lot of communication, trust and honesty if both of you can do that then you are off to a good start. If you want him to communicate more with you then you need to be honest and just tell him the truth. Be honest about what you need from this relationship. I don't know how long you two have been together but make sure that you two are not rushing it. My bf and i are countries apart so we take a long time to plan our visits and its not always easy. We both have to make sure that we are out of school and that we can have enough time together without big interruptions. Good luck, i hope that i helped. From personal expereince, i will tell you that this relationship will be very hard to maintain. Since it is early in the relationship, you have to move slowly. Dont be afraid to ask, when would you like to me to come out, you have to sit down with a calendar and mark out future plans. Now, you met on the internet, and I dont want to imploy anything, but, if he finds another lady closer online, he may date them and soon you will be a booty call when he is in town. Since you have a son in HS, I would consider looking for someone closer to your area.

By the way, my relationship didnt work out. I was not there when she needed me, and every three weeks was not enough. Something will happen and you will want him close, and he wont be there. There is nothing worse then someone crying on the other end of the phone and you can not do anything to help.

I feel as though he is being more than accomdating he is paying for the flight etc.If you have a good relationship with him communication on most internet based relationship is wonderful you tend to do alot of talking to each other.He said as soon as possible.Just appreciate the fact he is wonderful man and trying.Just explain you have a son and cant come before then end of the month.

Having been in the same situation, let me tell you there's no reason it should be easier for him to take initiative than for you. If he cares (and it sounds like he does) he doesn't want to interfere in your life process, the daily ins and outs and doesn't want to dictate to you. The fact he says he wants you sooner and the fact he's prepared to pay for the trip *HOWEVER* he pays.. means he wants you sooner, simply put. YOU said end of the month and he's trying not to be pushy about it. Remember you're still getting to know each other. Soon, just like with me, you'll hear him say; "Hon, I want you NOW!! Please... get on that plane, please!" lol... You met on the net so now its getting to know and test each others boundaries. Just enjoy it, and really take time to HEAR what he's saying, rather than wanting to script his words. He has said he wanted to see you sooner.. if you can.. go sooner. Best wishes.
