Hello:
Well for starters I happen to be an atheist as well and I do not have any issue with people accepting religion in any form into there life. I also do not have issue with the idea that they will share their religion with me, some days I will be more open to it than others and I am always interested to hear a new idea.
I do take issue when their view is: 1) not up for discussion 2) with out real justification/accepted blindly 3) in its very nature hateful. I am sure there is more, but you get the idea I am sure.
As for this being a religious and spirituality site and the question..."should" all but Christians be excluded. Well really its up to yahoo and at this point it looks like we're all in. Now this is America and you do have the right to start an all Christian site, or (because I am sure there are others out there with fragile beliefs that don't like the light of reason and criticism) there must be enough of a market out there for an all Christian site where any opposing views will be removed and offenders likewise stripped of their membership.
But are you really that scared of words for that?
I hope this helps.

I think Cheryl S sums it up well. Respectful of others' beliefs is a good bellwether. However, this comes with a codicil--humor should not be suppressed. There is a fine line between tasteful humor and offensive humor, and that's where a lot of posters get violations and complaints across the board. I think everyone needs to become more tolerant and cultivate a sense of humor that can be entertained without being taken as a personal attack.

I am a Christian and I have been told I don't belong here by Atheists who do not have Faith, Religion or Spirituality. I believe this site is for believers of all faiths. If people of other faiths have a question for others of their own faith that is what this site is for. This site is called Religion & Spirtuality! Not lack of belief! It should not be a site for spiteful, hateful, mocking and meaness.

RESPECT.Anyone who is being respectful no matter what your beliefs or lack of beliefs! It is for persons of all Faiths. It is not a site to poke fun of, mock and disrespect all of the community guidelines! If A person does not like another persons faith when the other person has asked a question then pass that over.

Sure...God wants all people to interact.....We as Christians are disciple's and the fact that non-believers, Atheists, whoever has questions or even snide remarks are guided by God.... So I believe you are here to find God...Seek Jesus Christ, Admit your sin in front of witness...Believe Jesus died on that cross and was resurrected ,for the price of your sin and then put your burdens upon Him...He Loves you no matter what you call yourself.. All he asks is that you believe in Him...
John 3:16 (King James Version)
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Well, if it were up to me, this section would get sub-sections and preaching Christiannity in the "Neo-Paganism" sub-section would be as much a bannable offense as militant Atheism on the "Bible Study" boards.
As it were, this is an over-genaralized religion and spirituality section, so for the time being, banning anyone who advocates barring people by faith would be most practicable.

Why? This is a board for people to discuss matters of religion and spirituality regardless of their own religion, spirituality or lack there of. No one religion has the right to dominate, this is not the Christianity section. If some Christians want a section for themselves they can either petition Yahoo to create one for them or find another website.

This section is for religions and spirituality, not the whole site.
Anyone can post here as long as they do not violate the community guidelines.
If it were just for Christians, then it would be labeled "Christianity" but even then any one could post there.
I am not gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered but I post in that forum.

This is the Religion and Spirituality site. It is not the hate site. We all need to follow the guidelines and be respectful and not break the rules.

Why should only Christians be allowed here?
Christianity is not the only religion, nor was it the first religion.
How boring, if only one faith was posting and answering!
