The USA likes to keep it's immigrant population diverse, and provide equitable opportunity to immigrate from all nations.
Each year we hold a diversity visa lottery to meet this equitability.
Residents of South Africa are eligible to enter the lottery this year.
Applications must be submitted by 3 December.
Here is a link to the information necessary to apply.
Good Luck!

You should contact the local US Embassy who can give you advice. Also you can look up bcis.gov and see what requirements would need to be met so you can become a permanent resident or citizen.

Contact your government offices as well as our American Embassys and find out the criteria that must be met for legal immigration. I wish anyone the best of luck who truly want to be Americans and go through the proper channels. We welcome those who do.
