6m X 6m = 36² m.

36²m divided by the area contained in a pack....36/2.48 = 14.52 packs. So I suggest you start off with 15 packs and see how you get on regarding cuts, you will probably need another pack.

Any store that you buy these packs from will have a ready-reckoner at hand to help you, always get a little extra to allow for breakages.

IF you want to have an idea before you go to the store, work out the area of the floor in metres by multiplying it's length by it's breadth, ignoring any odd shapes that come into the area, then simply divide by 2.48.

If your room is 6x6 metres:-

6x6 = 36 divided by 2.48 equalls 14.52 packs so you buy fifteen.

6metres X 6metres = 36 sq metres
36sq metres(room area) / 2.48 sq metres (pack area) = 14.516 packs
Get 15 packs, but I'd get 16, just to be sure and in case of damage later.

A 6x6 room is 36 square feet (one square foot is 12" x 12") 15 packages will give you 37.2 square feet, this does not allow for any waste or bad cuts, you will want to get an extra package for waste, if you don't use it you can always return it.

it seeems that the dopes above think your room is 6 feet square. i guess you mean 6 metres.
36 square metres divided by 2.48m2 is 14.5
15 packs unless the room is a funny shape, as that will cause lots of cuts / wastage

6x6 =36 sq ft
2.5x9 ft =22.5 sq ft
36/22.5 =1 1/3 if you can get a partial box 2 is better for waste
