There are a lot of resources online for self-improvement.

Just do a Yahoo search for whatever you are looking for, hon. For instance, if you want to become more confident, you can search for BUILDING CONFIDENCE, or CONFINDENCE SELF-HELP. If you feel your self-esteem is suffering because of your past, you can also do a search for SELF-ESTEEM SELF-HELP.

You will be surprised at the helpful information you can find on the internet, and the good advice you will come up with.

It takes practice, consistency and work to change things about ourselves... i know, i have made a lot of changes in myself over the last few years.

take care of YOU.. i'm sure you are a very nice person. and if you are having issues in your life which seem to be holding you back, you can also seek therapy for guidance and good help, too.

You wrote "i may be a cold person or even been described as not having emotions"

This could be a combination of your personality and your past. Since you realize what you need to change, half the battle is won. Here is what you can work on:
1. Talk about your feelings. Tell the other person that you think you are cold sometimes and that you do not show your emotions and then listen.
2. Try to satisfy the other person's needs. Put your own needs aside for now. Think of what you can do to make him/her happy.

Unless you were together before the distance was inserted, emotions will fade faster when distance is a factor.

Open up more to her. Show her that you do love her no matter how far away you are from each other.
If you really love who you are, just be you.
If you don't, try opening up a bit.
That might help :)
