Well, since the first books of the bible were supposedly written by Moses, that would probably mean that Moses made him up.

However, it is quite possible that Jehovah was created by taking bits and pieces of myths from other cultures and then combining them and making some adjustments here and there. In that case, there was probably a whole lot of people involved in creating him.

Actually, considering the fact that Jehovah is portrayed in a wide variety of often conflicting ways in the bible, it seems very probable that a large number of people were involved in creating Jehovah.

You have the correct answer from "Lion of Judah" tho
long and drawn out. God is the Creator so He didn't
need to be a creation. He has always been a Spirit but
He created everything from nothing, even human beings.
That is where we get the word "miracle" from. There would
be no miracles if God didn't first create them. He sent his
Son to earth and he too did many miracles and wonders.
Isn't God good? He is the Master. Don't forget it as you
may want to meet Him personally when your end comes.

Your question presumes that time is linear. What if it's "circular"? Before the Big Bang, there was a universe that collapsed, a universe that itself was created with a Big Bang. Why is this inconsistent with a god? God is the Circle, without beginning, without end.

To be created implies a beginning; God has no beginning. God exists outside of time; indeed God created time.

For us, who are bound by time, we cannot imagine anything outside of time. I can't understand something having no beginning or end; my mind can't cope with such an idea. Yet that is God; He exists outside of time.
This is what makes God who He is.

I notice a lot of the answerers honestly just say "he always was." How ridiculous and childish...
Man created god in his head, and eventually he will realize what a ridiculous delusion it is.

God is described as eternal, self-existent being. Nobody created Him.

I know that is difficult to wrap one's head around but so is the idea that all the matter in the universe at one point in time was infinitely small and infinitely hot.

Psalm 90:2 " Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hast formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God ".

Lion of Judah:

You took a lot of time to cut and paste all that, when all you had to do was type two words: special pleading.

to the OP: Man creates his gods in his own image.
