I think this is where baptism comes in, in the same manner as circumcision separated the Israelites from the world around them. It did not mean that God was required to accept that baptism, but through it they were called to repentance and a heart that was supposed to give them fellowship with God. It was not to be taken for granted, and put entire families under the law. The law being fulfilled by Christ, is indicated in our baptisms and should be constant reminders to us of who we are before the Lord.
The "fruits" of the spirit should be readily evident in our behavior. What comes to mind first is the two great commandments, loving the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind, and loving our neighbor as ourselves. 1 Corinthians 13 goes into the Christian's love in a little more detail. I've been reading through the book, "Is the Measure of a Man with" which is a study of Timothy and Titus, with "20 qualities" for testing our maturity levels in Christ."
Good stuff, worth reading.

Some tend to emanate an aura of smug superiority for no apparent reason, many have that wonderful Prozac-style glazed eye look about them, twitching is fairly common I've noticed, and a lot of them dress really funny. In fact, this aspect of christianity is where we get the fashion statement known as "Garage-sale Baptist." The females of the subspecies tend to be one weight extreme or the other, wide as they are tall or anorexically thin with a face like hammered shite and a half pound of makeup trying desperately to cover it up.
In short, if you've ever been around someone that just didn't look right, or made you uneasy for no obvious reason, you've probably found a TruBeliever. The jesus delusion works in SO well with other forms of mental illness, it's usually not the only symptom they display.

It is no single thing it is a combination of how we live our lives daily and if we walk what we talk. If I profess to be a Christian and have no compassion for those less fortunate and help the poor or if I gossip or have no room in my heart for forgiveness I am failing in my duty to Christ. As a Christian my utmost outward appearance to the world must be one of humble obedience to the will of God, this should also be the way God sees me.
So it is not a matter what we do to show our Christianity but that we do the smallest of deeds with the greatest of love as though Christ Himself were right there in the flesh watching and giving approval.

There is a broad spectrum of behaviors. I have met Christian that would give you the shirt off thier back and I have met those that would steal the shirt of your back. I think the characteristics that give us the most difficulty is the obnoxious arrogance that They are the only ones that God loves and that They have the only way to God. Unfortunately most of the Christians that I know seem to be enslaved to suffering and bondage. I have met very few that are genuinely happy and enjoying the gift of life that the Creator has given. I also think that there is alot of fear in most of the Christians I come in contact with. They live in fear of God and in fear of being human. I believe that much of thier behavior is the result of the guilt, manipulation and control of thier leadership and religion.

That a person may recognise right from wrong, the Lord spelled it out. Without the law, horrible things happen. With the law, peace and happiness is had by men. Horrible things happened to Christians when they got off track during the dark ages.

"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." The difference is that Christians are forgiven and covered under the blood of the "Lamb." When death comes, they have "true hope." Though they sometimes continue to fall short, the Father no longer sees their sin, but the blood of His Son. So now they have two natures: Human and Christ
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son; that whosoever believes on Him shall not parish, but have everlasting life." Salvation is a free gift from God to all (regardless of how good or bad you are) who will come to Christ, confess their faults, and "call upon the Name of the Lord."

Professing Christians generally it is a do as I say, not as I do.
True Regenerate Christians generally you notice the culture has not influenced them as much. They refrain from the lewd behavior and the language which usually make them stick out.
The atheists generally are trying to make themselves look pure, BUT still maintain that they are not influenced.

When we abstain from doing the worldly things, and stand up for morals. We stand up for God in all things in our lives. For instance: We don't watch anything over pg. If we hear swearing then we shut the TV off. If they are scenes that are questionable it goes off. There is no need for all the filth in the world. When we don't to clubs, drink, dance, movies, and listen to Christian music. People may say we are legalistic, but it is being true to God.

Poor Brenda, she just doesn't associate with real Christians.
All the ones I know and love are so giving to others; so happy
to worship God, the Creator; so happy to help the poor, the
widows, and the depressed; so good to start up soup kitchens, food baskets for those less fortunate, so quick to
visit the sick in nursing homes and hospitals; always available
with sympathy to those who have lost loved ones; and generally just a happy, joyful people who God keeps on
blessing. Some "other people" do these same things but
if they don't believe in the Savior, they will not live with Him
in eternity. Eternity is a very very very long time. I don't want
to miss it. I hope everyone sees the "Light" so th ey won't
miss the glorious hereafter either.
