For me, if such a charity exists, I would help struggling single parents that are in need of financial assistance. Whether it be for food, clothes, to pay bills etc. I have been a single parent of 2 young girls for several years. Even working full-time, I had the added expense of daycare, even Kindergarten ( Yeah, I live in a Town that does not have public kindergarten, unbelievable). I was unable to give them things that other kids had. Broke my heart.

Heifer International, the charity where you buy animals for families in third world countries in order to provide them with food. It's better than charities that just ship food to hungry nations since the animals can be a continuous source of food.

I'd donate it to Meals on Wheels, or to a local wildlife/conservation agency. The impact of the donations to either type of groups are huge; they have long-lasting impacts, utilize hundreds of volunteers to stretch the actual dollars given, and provide such basic and wonderful services.

The 700 Club.
Because, whether you believe in God or not, They help people all over the world. They were first in New Orleans when Katrina hit. They offer free medical to people who can't afford it. They drill water wells for villages that don't have clean water to drink. The list goes on and on.
They also, offer up to the date news of what's going on in the world. The good, as well as the bad and not just what sells news papers.
They are a great organization.

St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, helping the kids is number one with me, I do donate monthly but of course I can't afford this kind of money, I can only give what I can and pray, praying is free and I know it helps. God Bless St. Jude's!!!
