Yes you should get the same amount of money from the state that any other foster parent would get. You should also get state medical for her. And there are other resources that help with foster children financially if you are low income.
Good Luck!

As a relative it does present some very sticky problems. It will not be as easy as most might think. If the state is paying you may not be allowed. Remember in most states you do have to qualify as a foster home and parent. If they are being sent out to foster care then the parents have no say where they go.
If this is just an agreement with your relations then it does not come under the foster care program.
It is a good idea to find out what is and what is ot before you do anything. This is not the place to do that.

My parents "fostered" my nephew from the time he was nearly 3 until he was 18. Their income was never looked at for his state medical or his monthly checks. They were not much by any means, but they helped. Where we live in Texas the foster parents also get an allowance for the child's birthday present ($25). Foster parents have access to a food bank that serves only them. Check with the foster agency in your area to see what kind of aid you could receive.

Yes, if you do it through the foster care system. The financial help is not sizable and you will have to undergo their scrutiny, red-tape, and adhere to the system. Many families find it is not worth the time and effort and opt to foster as an informal arrangement within the family. But if money is an issue for your family and it keeps her in a safe and loving environment it is worth the trouble.

Yes. Most of the time foster parents get medical care and financial aid for the children. The financial money is for clothes, hygene materials, school materials, etc. Hope it works out for you.

It depends on the state you live in. Here in Arkansas, you get nothing but medicaid if you foster a family member. I think that is really sad, as it separates families.

Does it matter? She is your niece. If she needs you, maybe you could take her in out of the goodness of your heart.
