There is no evidence to support the soul theory or Descartes' concept of dualism. The human being is a biological organism with material components. I am of the opinion that the soul and duality are the equivalent of faery tales
When we die our metabolism stops functioning causing our organs to cease. We have no capacity to observe or be aware. Hence, there is no _life after death_. When you die you cease to exist.

Buddhists believe that souls are reincarnated until that particular person reaches enlightenment. There are other spiritual atheists, but you'd have to ask them. I'd say more than 75% of atheists don't believe in a soul or spirit at all, though. I'm of the latter group.

Their soul goes to the same place where the rest of their body goes. It decomposes in the earth and becomes food for the bacteria and the fungae except for the skeleton.
If the body is cremated, the soul will be cremated to and then comes natures work, the ashes of the soul and body enriching the soil or staying put in an urn with no soil mixture. *subtle smirk*

I have absolutely no idea so I don't "guess"
It would be nice if, in some way, our souls lived on to unite with loved ones souls but again, no evidence at all that this happens so I guess I'll find out when I die.
I don't believe in any Gods but I'm not denying there might be something more out there...but again..I have no idea

"Soul" is a religious term so I dont think an atheist believes in "souls" and "spirits". We are just animals that are more intelligent than other animals. When you die, you die. No heaven, no hell no nothing. The world continues without you.
Of course no atheist can prove that it works out that way. Its more a matter of whose got the burden of proof. The atheist places the burden of proof on the theist to prove otherwise.

I don't know.
I don't rule out the possibility that human personality can survive the death of the body, but it's a question that interests me less with every passing year. The people who fear death the most are the ones who have lived the least.

There is no soul. Our conscious minds exist only as a property of our physical bodies (and our brains in particular). When the body dies it dies with it. Everything is over and to you it is as if you had never existed.

I have no idea! I don't know about the soul, not sure I "believe" in such a thing. I believe once you're dead that's it, your body stops working, nothing.

Kind of like asking if Lois Lane is lonely when Superman goes out of town...
I am as worried about my soul as I am about figuring out a way to blow my second nose.

Bad premise. There is no evidence for any such entity as a "soul." When you die, you're dead. Electrical activity ceases, and you cease to be.
