I read it and my skin crawled the whole time. I couldn't believe this guy thought he was following God when he wrote this book.

I think it's interesting, and offers some fresh ways to think about the human/Divine relationship.

The first three books I felt, were worth reading, but as Walsch became an industry, his books got to be more and more trite trash and recycled new ageism. So I've passed on them.

Like so many, who start out full of honest need and sincerity...he became more full of himself than the message. His first book clearly says that God said they were going to write three books. Now, many more books, retreat centers, and hundreds of millions of dollars later...he is still full of things to say.

So much for that "simple" message.

sorry for the rant.

I don't read too many other books, I mainly use books for reference material. I think the key to knowing why I do this is because I am living what Jesus had already said:

13 Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
( John 4 )

I no longer 'thirst'.

Apostasy, from the Greek word apostasia, meaning withdrawl or defection, is the defiant falling away from Christianity by someone who had been a converted member of the faith. Apostasy isn't a simple matter of sin by human weakness - it's a deliberate, unrepentant rejection of the Truth by someone who became fully aware of it.

You better come back to Jesus!

It proves to me that your faith in Christianity never really was that strong and there are material things ie. power, wealth, and prestige that are more important than the word of GOD. How unfortunate! GOD BLESS!!

If your faith has been destroyed by a work of fiction I doubt you really understood Christianity in the first place.
What is so wonderful about this book??
